Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be quite a challenging game, especially when it comes to fighting groups of enemies or taking on dragons. Such fights can lead to death, which is the end in most games, but this is where Wakestones come into play.

Wakestones are special Implement items that can be used to revive the Arisen, even if they are in combat. Not only can they revive the Arisen, but they can also be used to restore life to any dead NPC. Wakestones in Dragon's Dogma 2 act as a great mechanic purely because of how effective they are in combat and can allow for mistakes. Even if the player were to use three in a single fight and fail to defeat the boss, they can load from the last save and restore their lost Wakestones.

Where To Get Dragon's Gaze In Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Gaze Info in Dragon's Size

In order to easily acquire all Wakestones, whether they are in towns, caves, or even in the open world, you will need to obtain Dragon's Gaze. Dragon’s Gaze is an infinite-use Implement item that allows the user to see Wakestones on the map and minimap of a small locality.

Even though the item has infinite uses, it can be found in multiple locations, meaning missing out on this item is not a possibility. One of the earliest ways to acquire the Dragon's Gaze is by making your way to Vernworth Castle during the daytime, as guards will not trouble you much. On the fourth floor of the tower, you will find the Dragon's Gaze.

If you do not wish to explore the Castle, then you can proceed in the story until you reach The Nameless Village. Completing this quest and talking to Captain Brant will grant you the item as a reward.

Alternatively, if you make it to Bakbattahl, you can find Dragon's Gaze at the inn there. After spending the night, you will find a chest in the room that has the artifact in it, however a room costs a staggering 9,999 gold to rent.

How To Farm Wakestones

Wakestone in Inventory in Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon’s Gaze can be used to find Wakestone Shard anywhere on the map. Once three Wakestone Shards are in your possession, they will automatically combine to create a Wakestone. However, if you want more Wakestones, you can not solely rely on Dragon's Gaze and will have to use different methods.

There are shops and merchants all over the world. Some of them can even be wandering merchants, and they sell Wakestones or Wakestone Shards in exchange for Gold. Alternatively, you can make use of the Pawn Quest system. Assigning a Pawn Quest that allows the Pawn to receive Wakestone in exchange for offering your Gold or other items can entice other players and increase your inventory. Similarly, you can also browse through the Riftstone to check out Pawns with Pawn Quests that reward Wakestone Shards upon completion.

There are communities on the internet where you can ask for a Wakestone trade request in exchange for an item the other person might need, but this is not a proper farming method and can take quite some time.
