There are many areas in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and players will spend a lot of time discovering hidden secrets in the vast world. Although you can use the oxcart to travel more effectively along the land, fast travel is without a doubt the fastest and most efficient way to travel.
Fast travel is possible by using an item called 
Ferrystone, but there is a condition. There must be a 
Portcrystal at the desired destination for the Ferrystone to work. Since Bakbattahl is a bit far away from all other areas in Dragon’s Dogma 2, discovering a Portcrystal to reach it will certainly be beneficial for players.

Is There A Portcrystal In Bakbattahl In Dragon’s Dogma 2?
The short answer is no, there isn’t a Portcrystal in Bakbattahl. Therefore, it's highly recommended to place a portable Portcrystal in Bakbattahl to enable fast travel. It’s weird how Vernworth, the capital of Vermund, possesses a Portcrystal for fast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2, while Bakbattahl, the capital of Battahl, doesn’t appear to possess any form of transportation except for an oxcart.
Although the oxcart will take players from the Bakbattahl to Checkpoint Rest Town, the same can't be said for the oxcart near the village border. Each time players interact with the post sign to wait for an oxcart, a notice can be read that says something along the lines of, there will be no oxcarts due to an increase of monsters' attacks. This won’t be fixed until later on when you complete a decent number of Quests.

Arisens can place the portable Portcrystal anywhere they want and use a Ferrystone for fast travel. Additionally, the placed Portcrystal can be removed whenever you wish, so if later players want to change its location, simply interact with it and put it where you desire.
