Dragon's Dogma 2 gives players two slots to equip various rings throughout the world. Some rings offer straight boosts in stats while others offer additional abilities that benefit certain Vocations and play styles.
Unlike weapons and armor, rings aren't locked behind specific Vocations, giving players much more flexibility in choosing which ones to use. Your Pawn also has two ring slots and has the same freedom as the Arisen to find and equip any ring to help them perform their role in combat more effectively. One ring players may not find useful upon reading its description is the
Ring of Disfavor, but this ring actually has many benefits when used correctly.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Full Quest List (All Main & Side Missions)
Dragon's Dogma 2 is filled to the brim with an abundance of quests. This guide will show you what they are, both compulsory and optional.
Where To Find The Ring Of Disfavor in DD2
There are three Rings Of Disfavor that can be found in a playthrough, all of which can be located after reaching the region of Battahl. The first option is searching Highland Cavern in Battahl, with a Ring of Disfavor being found in a chest within. The next option is finding one in the Coral Snake's Hideout, which is tied to the Mercy Among Thieves quest which can be begun by talking to the merchants along the main road into Battahl and complaining about the bandits along the road.
The final option is to complete the quest Short Sighted Ambition in the town of Bakbattahl. During this quest, players must give Issac On the Transference of Souls 2, which results in the bad ending for this quest and lets players loot the ring off Issac's wife's body. This will also make Issac close down his shop in Bakbattahl, which is a steep trade for a ring that can be found elsewhere.
How Dragon's Dogma 2's Mage and Sorcerer Vocations Stack Up Against Each Other
Dragon's Dogma 2's Mage and Sorcerer vocations are very similar to one another, but they nonetheless play significantly different roles in combat.
How To Use The Ring Of Disfavor in DD2
When a character equips the Ring Of Disfavor, the chances of them being targeted by an enemy in battle increases. This is a bad ring for glass cannon vocations such as Sorcerer or Magick Archer, but excels when equipped on a Fighter. While Fighters have multiple Weapon Skills that draw enemy attention, this ring can still make that happen but free up one of the few Weapon Skill slots available to the player.
Should you have a Fighter Pawn in your party, be sure to give them this ring, as they sometimes won't use the attention-grabbing weapon skills right away and leave the Arisen open to being attacked. While multiple copies of this ring probably won't be needed, every party needs at least one Fighter, and that Fighter needs this ring.
