Even though players have the option to stay at Inns to rest and save in Dragon’s Dogma 2, they can also buy a house and avoid the extra fees. The latter is especially beneficial for Arisens who may find themselves lacking in Gold at the game’s beginning due to poor exploration.
The house will serve as a sanctuary where players can comfortably rest after a long journey. Furthermore, it provides players with their own Treasure Chest, where they can combine items, organize their Storage, and Store their items in Dragon’s Dogma 2. To get a house in Dragon's Dogma 2, players must complete a quest called A Place To Call Home.

A Place To Call Home Quest In Dragon’s Dogma 2
To trigger the A Place to Call Home quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, players have to go behind The Stardrop Inn. There they will meet Mildred, who will offer her house to Arisen for a week. Mildred needs someone who will slate the house in her stead while she travels.
As she asks, she assures players that she is not asking them to clean or stay cooped in the house, but she just wishes they would consider the Private Dwelling as a waypoint on their travels in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Afterward, she marks the house location on their map, so they can take a look. Players can decide to either decline or accept her offer if it seems too tempting.
Accept Mildred’s Offer
If players are interested in the proposal, they can go to the house icon pinned on their map and talk to Mildred to take up her offer. Next, they will have to skip the week or explore the vast lands of Vermund as they await her return from a long journey. After a one-week wait, players can find her in front of the Private Dwelling in the Common Quarter.
Upon her return, she will offer another choice as she has made her decision to become a traveler in Dragon’s Dogma 2. She then proceeds to ask if players are interested in buying the house for 20,000 Gold, as it won’t be of use to her anymore.
Accepting to buy the house will make the Private Dwelling players’ own home, and declining it will only leave the girl standing there until Arisens decide to buy it another time.
Decline Mildred’s Offer
If Arisens declines Mildred’s offer, she will remain in her place until they decide to change their minds. This means that it is up to Arisens to decide whether they accept to purchase the Private Dwelling and make it their own home or to just stick to the Inn fees as their source of save files in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Mildred won’t be the only one offering players a chance to own a house in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Other opportunities will arise in the Noble Quarter and Battahl.
