There are many conditions your character can get into while exploring the massive world of Dragon’s Dogma 2. Some are not that harmful, like the Drenched condition, unless the Arisen gets hit by a lightning attack, then that’s another story. But other conditions can be pretty deadly.

One of the worst conditions in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is, without a doubt, Blighted. It sticks to your character and never leaves it until it’s cured. While Blighted, your character will continuously lose both their HP and their Full HP gauge. While infuriating, it’s also fatally harmful if you aren’t prepared to cure Blight in Dragon's Dogma 2 as it eventually starts to build up and take deadly chunks of your character’s HP.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Review

Dragon's Dogma 2 is everything fans could want from a Dragon's Dogma sequel, but that also means it has a few rough edges.

How To Cure Blight In Dragon's Dogma 2

using potions to cure blight in dragon dogma 2

There are many ways to cure Blight in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The fastest and most effective way is to use Curatives that can specifically cure Blight like Detoxifying Decoction, or ones that cure all debilitations like Panacea. You can follow recipes and combine ingredients you find everywhere on the map to make Curatives. In the case of Detoxifying Decoction, combining Syrupwort Leaf and Pitywort will make the Curative that can cure Blight.

Syrupwort Leaf is a wildflower leaf, rich in syrupy sap that can make other potions like Quenching Syrup that can cure Caught Fire and Torched debilitations. It can also be used to craft recovering HP Curatives like Salubrious Draught, or Drenching Arrows. As for Pitywort, it’s a detoxicating herb that can only be used to make Detoxifying Decoction that cures Blight in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

There are also other means to cure Blight in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Mage Vocation has a specific spell (Weapon Skill) that can cure Blight called High Halidom, which is the improved version of Halidom. This Spell doesn’t only cure Blight, it also cures other debilitations like Caught Fire, Frostbite, Unconscious, Sleep, Silence, Drenched Tarred, Torched, and Ice-bound. You can set up your main pawn or your Arisen to be a Mage and teach them that spell for cheaper and continuous access to curing Blight in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The Blighted condition doesn’t only come from enemies’ attacks, it sometimes comes from other sources like eating rotten food. You can protect your food by storing it in Inns or the Arisen’s storage chest in their Dragon's Dogma 2 home. You can even combine and make new Curatives from the Inn’s menu where you get access to all the ingredients you stored before.
