Dragon’s Dogma 2 has proven itself to be an incredibly exciting game for fans old and new of this Capcom franchise. This game requires the player to explore a lot, which leads to their health points draining. As a result, the player needs to have a place to rest whenever needed, and those places are known as Inns. Inns can be found in pretty much every city in the game.

However, the player should know where to find them, as well as all their uses beyond simply sleeping to recover HP.

What Are Inns in Dragon’s Dogma 2

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, the player is able to rest at any time of the day at an Inn, for a price. The player will find an Inn in every main city in the game, which will be of great use to the player for many reasons.

The Multiple Uses of An Inn

Inns are essential locations in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Here’s how the player can benefit from them in this game.

Recovering All Health Points

As the player adventures in Dragon’s Dogma 2, they will lose some of their health bar. One potentially annoying part of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is that the health bar gets a loss status, typically whenever the player is defeated in battle. In that case, a potion or a mage will not be able to restore the player’s HP, which can be quite problematic. The best solution here is to rest. The player has that option with an Inn, if they’re in a city, or a camping site if they’re still out and exploring.

Saving the Player’s Game

One reason players might pay the extra price at an Inn rather than rest for free at a camping site is due to the saving of the game that happens there. Indeed, while the player can save their game almost anytime, and the game often autosaves, the saving feature at the Inn is far more reliable and it has its own reload option if the player is defeated in combat.

Whenever the player returns from a mission and is back in town, saving at an Inn is a good idea.

Changing the Time of Day

Resting at an Inn allows the player to wake up during the day or at night. This can be useful if the player needs to change the time of the day they’re currently on. Dozing off on a bench can take multiple attempts to actually change the time of the day to when the player wants it, which can be annoying. That said, it is a pretty hefty price to pay if that is the only reason the player is resting at an Inn.

Withdrawing and Depositing items

Another essential feature of Inns is the ability to withdraw and deposit items from the player’s inventory. This is a very important game mechanic as the player doesn’t want to carry too much on themselves, as that will weigh them down significantly. The player can deposit their items in any Inn location and withdraw them from any other Inn location, which is useful for transporting items to other cities with ease.

Changing Vocation

If the player does not want to bother and head to a Vocation Guild, they also have the option to change their Vocation in the closest Inn.

This can save the player time if they’re planning to rest at the Inn anyway.

Skill Equipment

Just like changing their Vocation, the player can also modify their equipped skills in an Inn, basically acting like a Vocation Guild in general.

All Inns And Where To Find Them

The player will be able to visit a multitude of Inns during their exploration in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and they should definitely make the best use of them.

  • Inn Location #1: Tristan’s Inn. This Inn is located in the city of Melve. The Inn is located in the back of the city of Melve, and can be found close to the Melve Riftstone.
  • Inn Location #2: Borderwatch Inn. This second Inn is located in Border Watch Outpost. The player will be able to find it around where Montgomery is standing.
  • Inn Location #3: Kough’s Inn. This inn will be found in the Sacred Arbor. Once the player enters the Sacred Arbor, they just need to take the path on the right to get inside the Inn.
  • Inn Location #4: Shakir’s Inn. This Inn is located inside of Vernworth, a very important city in the game. This will probably be one of the player’s most used Inn locations. It is specifically located in the Merchant District, right next to the Vocation Guild and the Stardrop Inn (the Stardrop Inn is a tavern, despite the name).
  • Inn Location #5: The Nameless Inn. On their quest to uncover more about the false sovereign, the player will reach a place known as the Nameless village. There, the player can find the town’s Inn next to the Nameless Riftstone.
  • Inn Location #6: The Coastal Inn. This Inn is located inside the Harve village. The player can find it in the middle of town, and it’s hard to miss as the town is quite small.
  • Inn Location #7: The Sword & Staff. This next Inn is found inside the checkpoint rest town that the player can access via Oxcart from Vernworth. There, the player can rest before continuing on their adventure. It can be found in the middle of town, next to the Vocation Guild, not far from the initial entranceway.
  • Inn Location #8: Zeplin’s Inn. Once the player gets through the closed gate of the Checkpoint rest town to get on their way to Bakbattahl, they will run into yet another Inn. It’s hard to miss as there isn’t much else going on there. It’s better to rest here than in the Sword and Staff Inn as it is cheaper.
  • Inn Location #9: Pilgrim’s Inn - Flagship. The first Inn the player runs into once they reach the City of Bakbattahl after a very long journey. While it’s tempting to rest here, it’s better to avoid, as the price is extremely high, going to 9999 gold. If the player wants to go there anyway, it’s located near the entrance, on the left side.
  • Inn Location #10: Pilgrim’s Inn. The second Inn location in the city of Bakbattahl. It’s located deeper into the city and can be found close to other shops on the right side of town. It’s better to rest here in the city as the prices are a lot more acceptable than the Pilgrim’s Inn - Flagship.
  • Inn Location #11: Workers’ Dormitory. This Inn is located in the Volcanic Island Camp. The city is quite small and the player should easily locate it in front of the armory shop.
  • Inn Location #12: Agamen Ruins Inn. The last Inn in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is located in the Excavation Site. Once the player is inside that area, they will find it next to the Agamen Ruined Riftstone.
