Dragon Quest VII Reimagined has tons of objectives and sub-quests that players can undertake to acquire extra items and valuable aid on their journey to return the missing Islands to their rightful place in the world. L'Arca hides one of such hidden objectives, or to be more precise, a minigame/contest.
Solving L'Arca's animal Festival minigame will grant players the valuable accessory called Ruby of Protection, which boosts the character's defense by a bunch. So, here's the answer to win this fantastic prize in DQ7 Reimagined.
How To Participate in L'Arca Animal Minigame in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
Once players conclude L'Arca's restoration and break the curse, Ruff will join their party, and their goal on this Island will be complete. But, as with any of the previous locations visited by the adventurers, there's more to be done in the 'Present Time.'
When players return to L'Arca by ship (the Fast Travel/Zoom option will be greyed out), they can enter this town once more to discover that folks seem to be back to their animal forms!
But don't panic, just go to the Major's house (the big one with the shed where players meet Ruff for the first time), ot talk to the village's chief and his maid. Once the dialogue is done, pick the costumes from the Yellow Drawer next to the maid, and exit the house dressed as pigglets!
The next step to participate in the contest is to join the round of animals at the square, and speak to the NPC leading the Festival. He will tell players about the rules for winning the minigame.
L'Arca Animal Mini Game Correct Answers in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
Players need to find 3 muscled men hidden among real animals. They can only pick once; if they fail, they lose the game. This process needs to be repeated until they find all the 'fake animals' between the real ones. So, here's the solution:
- Pick the cow on the far left side.
- Pick the dog on the right side.
- Pick the horse.
With that, the NPC will announce that the Main Character and his party are the winners of the contest, and will gift them the prized Ruby of Protection, an accessory that grants +20 to Defense for every character that has it equipped.
It is highly recommended that players give this accessory to Maribel, since she's the character with the lowest Defense stat. With that out of the way, players can resume their adventure.
Remember to pick up the Yellow Tablet Fragment from the Major's House before leaving L'Arca, since it's a key item to keep progressing the adventure.
