In just a few short days, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release on several platforms. The upcoming game is one of the most highly-anticipated titles of 2020 and is a single-player retelling of the story of Dragon Ball Z. Now, with just a few days away from release, a couple of video game retailers are currently offering discounts for players who pre-purchase the upcoming game.

Players interested in pre-ordering the game will be happy to know that Amazon and Walmart are currently offering slight discounts for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is currently available from these retailers for $50, which is 17% off its original list price of $59.99. Although the discount is not as massive as one might like, Amazon and Walmart's offerings are currently the cheapest pre-order price for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot right now.

Of course, apart from the slight discount from the game's price, pre-ordering will also reward players with a handful of in-game bonuses. These bonuses include a new subquest called "A Competitive Party with Friends," early access to Bonyu's training, and 1 cooking item. On the other hand, Players who decide to pre-order the game directly from the PlayStation Store will also get a special Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot theme on top of the standard bonuses available at all retailers.

Pre-Order Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for $50 at Amazon | Walmart

Several days ago, Bandai Namco released a brand new trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot that features the original English narrator from the anime series. The trailer brought a nostalgic vibe to the upcoming game and showed how it would remain faithful to the story of Dragon Ball Z, as promised by Bandai Namco. Although previous trailers have already unveiled much of the game's upcoming features, the latest preview provides a recap of everything that players can expect such as all the playable characters and side quest activities.

Meanwhile, a week before the release, it appears that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's Collector's Edition has one major omission. Fans quickly noticed the game's Collector's Edition would not include Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's DLC Season Pass, which is currently priced at $24.99. Although the Collector's Edition includes some pretty awesome goodies such as a Steelbook case, artbook, and more, some fans were disappointed with the absence of the Season Pass, given that the premium edition of the game is priced at $199.99.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release on January 17, 2020, for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
