The Dragon Ball Super manga has been on hiatus since March. The chapter published in March was likely submitted to the magazine before Akira Toriyama's death. Chapter Plot, Release Date and New Arc Revealed

The chapter will be released on February 19, 2025, and it will be published in Shueisha's V-JUMP magazine (the same magazine in which Dragon Ball Super is serialized). It is titled "The Birth of Saiyamen X", so it is an origin story for Saiyamen X-1 and X-2.

According to the official website, this chapter is set before the events of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The official account for the series on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that a new arc, Super Hero Arc, will begin:

When Will Dragon Ball Super Return to Its Regular Schedule?

Sequel Shonen Manga- Dragon Ball Super

While there is no information about Super returning to regular serialization, the drafts reveal that this chapter is officially tagged as Chapter 104, not as "Special Chapter" or anything of the sort.

That means this chapter is the sequel to the story, as the latest chapter is "Chapter 103: A Legacy Toward the Future". Then, there's a chance that a date for Chapter 105 will be announced in V-JUMP on February 19 (it will be February 20 in Japan).

The Future of Dragon Ball

Since Toriyama's death, many fans have wondered what will happen to the franchise. While a l egal battle over rights of the series might still be going on, it seems there are plans to keep feeding fans with new content of the series for a long time.

Dragon Ball Daima is currently airing on TV, but it will soon conclude. Producer Aki Iyuko recently revealed a lot of behind-the-scenes information, including how Toriyama ended up working much more than originally planned – so Daima is now confirmed to be the last Dragon Ball installment in which he was deeply involved.

Dragon Ball Super chapters are published by VIZ simultaneously with the Japanese release.
