As of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan Beast is currently the strongest unfused character in Dragon Ball Super – at least as far as the heroes and their current transformations are concerned, that is. In typical Gohan fashion, it's only a matter of time before the likes of Goku, Vegeta, and Broly surpass him. That said, Dragon Ball Super Chapter 103 gave Gohan quite the showing. Gohan Beast was able to successfully knock Goku out of Ultra Instinct, and even earn Whis' praise and recommendation as a possible God of Destruction.
Dragon Ball Super: 8 New Characters Introduced in the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga
Get to know these new faces before the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga anime comes out.
As powerful as Gohan Beast is, he's not invincible, though, and there are a few Dragon Ball Super characters who have the potential to defeat him. Between fusions, full power transformations, and divine beings, Gohan Beast is going to be fighting an uphill battle once the Dragon Ball Super manga returns and Toyotarou finally gets his chance to write the Black Frieza Saga.
5 Legendary Super Saiyan Broly Forced Gogeta to Turn Super Saiyan Blue at Full Power
It's important to note that Broly cannot currently use his Full Power Super Saiyan form as of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Following his battle with Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Broly begins training on Beerus' Planet to better control his transformations and no longer lose control like he did in the fight with Gogeta. Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan form is simply too unwieldy, so he needs to master the basics. By all accounts, though, Broly has made amazing progress.
During Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero's manga epilogue, Broly spars with Gohan. Super Saiyan Broly is so strong in SSJ1, he's able to keep up with Gohan Beast in battle. Not only that, Broly is the only Saiyan sitting up at the end of the Super Saiyan Battle Royale in Dragon Ball Super Chapter 103. While Gohan has the least visible damage, this implies that Broly did just as well as Gohan. The fact Super Saiyan 1 Broly is strong enough to fight Gohan Beast is enough to scale him up incredibly high. Once Broly masters his Legendary Super Saiyan form, there's no chance Gohan Beast will be able to beat him.
4 Black Frieza Beat Ultra Instinct Goku & Ultra Ego Vegeta in a Single Hit
Black Frieza might honestly be the single most overpowered transformation in Dragon Ball history. Introduced at the end of the Dragon Ball Super manga's Granolah Saga, Black Frieza arrives during the final battle, immediately kills Gas, and then knocks out both Ultra Ego Vegeta and Ultra Instinct Goku with a single strike. Frieza then leaves, allowing the two Saiyans to live only because they're not his targets right now (and because it wouldn't be a fair fight at all).
Goku and Vegeta have been training to defeat Black Frieza ever since, but there's no telling if they've gotten strong enough to so much as stand a chance. For as powerful as Gohan Beast is, he simply cannot compare to Black Frieza in terms of feats. Gohan Beast may have been able to beat Ultra Instinct Goku, but Goku still put up a good fight and was able to re-activate Mastered Ultra Instinct right away. Gohan's not going to be the one to beat Black Frieza, no matter how much Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero's set him up for success.
3 Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta is the Most Powerful Fusion of All Time
Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta holds the distinct honor of being the only fusion to actually win a fight between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super . It's hard to believe, but Gotenks, Vegito, and Kefla never actually win any battles – they all lose, intentionally or otherwise. Gogeta's fight with Legendary Super Saiyan Broly marks the first time a fusion nets the win; and what a win it was. Strong enough to break the fabric of reality, SSB Gogeta is able to outmaneuver Legendary Super Saiyan Broly in every respect.
Toei Animation Is Officially Fixing Dragon Ball Super Forever
Dragon Ball Super is getting fixed once and for all by Toei Animation.
It's even possible Goku and Vegeta finally managed to surpass Beerus as Gogeta (not that they'd ever fuse to fight the God of Destruction). Considering how effortlessly Gogeta beat Broly, Gohan Beast wouldn't stand a chance against Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta in a fight. The best he could do is potentially beat base Gogeta, but even that feels like a pipe dream.
2 Beerus is the Strongest God in the Multiverse
The Dragon Ball Super manga's Universe Survival arc makes it abundantly clear that Beerus is the strongest God of Destruction in the multiverse. During the Zeno Exhibition, all the Gods of Destruction get together for a battle royale. The fight is far too chaotic and violent for the Zenos to enjoy, let alone follow, but before they break it up, Beerus winds up the last man standing. Not just that, he ends up using his own version of Ultra Instinct to dodge attacks and stay in the fight.
Beerus has also been the benchmark Goku and Vegeta have been striving to reach since Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, and anytime they come close to matching his Power Level, it's revealed Beerus is one step ahead. Gohan's not that much stronger than Goku or Vegeta, even in his Beast Mode, so there's no way he'd be able to do any real damage to Beerus when he's going full power.
1 Whis & the Angels Are Simply on Another Level in Terms of Power Scaling
Whis, the Angels, and the Grand Minister are in a league of their own as far as Dragon Ball Super is concerned. During the final battle with Moro in the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Whis is able to block a blow from Planet Moro that Goku just barely reacts to. Whis moves so fast, not even Jaco and Krillin catch the move in time. Whis was also able to dodge all of Legendary Super Saiyan Broly's attacks without any trouble whatsoever.
In a real fight against anyone other than themselves, the Angels would win every single time. No mortal in Dragon Ball Super has come close to beating a real God of Destruction, and each Angel is personally stronger than their universe's GoD. As hard as Gohan Beast fights, he'd always lose in a match-up against Whis, the Grand Priest, or any other Angel.
