Everybody wants to live forever, especially Dragon Ball villains. From as early as the Demon King Piccolo Saga, Dragon Ball villains have been hunting down the Dragon Balls to wish for eternal youth or straight up invincibility. Even in Dragon Ball Z, Vegeta and Frieza are initially motivated by a desire to wish for immortality on the Dragon Balls.
Dragon Ball Super Officially Reveals the Anime’s Next Main Villain
Moro is one of the greatest & most dangerous villains in Dragon Ball Super, sporting raw power and ferocity the series hasn't seen since Cell in DBZ.
Naturally, very few villains actually manage to become immortal in Dragon Ball, but that doesn't mean it's never happened. Between Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball DAIMA, Dragon Ball Super, and even Dragon Ball Heroes, some characters have actually become immortal. Interestingly, Dragon Ball's immortal villains vary drastically when it comes to Power Levels, some being much stronger than others.
6 Garlic Jr. Was the First Dragon Ball Character to Ever Achieve Immortality
The main villain of Dragon Ball Z: The Dead Zone and later DBZ's Garlic Jr. Saga filler arc, Garlic Jr. Was the first villain in Dragon Ball history to do the impossible: he became immortal. By successfully gathering the Dragon Balls before anyone could stop him, Garlic Jr. Wished for immortality and became functionally invincible. While strong, neither Goku nor Piccolo were able to actually defeat him in a fight.
Garlic Jr.'s downfall was opening the Dead Zone, which Gohan knocked him into. Years later, Garlic Jr. Returned only to suffer the same fate yet again. In the first Dragon Ball Z movie, Garlic Jr. Is only around Raditz's strength in terms of Power Level. By his own Saga in DBZ, Garlic Jr. Is, at most, a little stronger than second form Frieza.
5 Giant Gomah Was Functionally Immortal With the Evil Third Eye in His Possession
Also called the Tertian Oculus, the Evil Third Eye is one of the most overpowered relics in the Dragon Ball franchise. Introduced in Dragon Ball DAIMA, the Evil Third Eye allows its user to pull off ridiculous feats, including making them effectively immortal. The only way to defeat someone using the Evil Third Eye is to strike the back of their neck three times in succession. Otherwise, they cannot be killed or defeated.
When Gomah uses the Evil Third Eye, he becomes Giant Gomah. Even though Super Saiyan 4 Goku is far stronger than Gomah, none of his attacks can actually defeat him. SSJ4 Goku's Transcendent Power Kamehameha was powerful enough to shake every region of the Demon Realm and blow a hole through Gomah's chest, but the Evil Third Eye regenerates him immediately. The heroes only win thanks to Majin Kuu's interference.
4 Zamasu Used the Super Dragon Balls to Make Himself Invincible
Zamasu is the strongest Supreme Kai in Dragon Ball Super, but it's not his Power Level that makes him dangerous: it's his brains. After sparring with Goku in the Dragon Ball Super anime and watching his fight with Hit on GodTube in the Dragon Ball Super manga, Zamasu becomes disturbed by the idea a mortal could gain enough power to rival the Gods.

Already harboring a hatred of humanity, Zamasu tracks down Zuno, learns everything about Goku, and then uses the Super Dragon Balls to wish for immortality. Zamasu then kills off all the Supreme Kais in his universe – killing the Gods of Destruction with them – and then uses the Time Ring to recruit another Zamasu from a separate timeline who then uses the Super Dragon Balls to swap bodies with Goku and become Goku Black.
3 Mechikabura is One of the Strongest Dragon Ball Villains No One Knows Exists
Mechikabura is one of the most obscure villains in Dragon Ball. A non-canon character from Dragon Ball Heroes, Mechikabura is the main villain of the Dark Empire arc and Dark King Mechikabura Saga. Mechikabura has the unique ability to absorb literally anything, even concepts. By absorbing time itself, Mechikabura becomes completely immortal.
Mechikabura cannot be defeated or overpowered by traditional means. The only way to stop the Dark King is to seal him away. In the Super Dragon Ball Heroes anime, Super Saiyan 4 Vegito, Super Saiyan God Trunks, and the Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa stop Mechikabura by having SSJ4 Vegito fight him head-on before SSG Trunks and Chronoa seal him away & put him to sleep using Trunks' Key Sword.
2 Fused Zamasu Destroyed Future Trunks' Timeline With His Immortality
Neither Zamasu nor Goku Black are too powerful on their own, but when they fuse using the Potara earrings, they become one of the most powerful villains in all of Dragon Ball Super. Fused Zamasu is dangerous on a level few characters are, having access to God Ki, Kai Ki, Saiyan Ki, the power boost that comes with using the Potara Earrings, and immortality. Super Saiyan Blue Vegito very briefly overpowers Fused Zamasu, but being mortal, Goku & Vegeta's fusion runs out before they can defeat him.
Dragon Ball Super: The Best Version of Every Saga (Anime vs Manga vs Movies)
Whether the anime or manga's version of the arcs are better has been a hot button issue for Dragon Ball Super fans for years now.
Even then, it's unlikely Super Saiyan Blue Vegito would have been able to kill Fused Zamasu. In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Fused Zamasu literally survives a head-on attack from Goku's Hakai, a technique used to erase anyone or anything from existence. Fused Zamasu's immortality is so powerful, he ends up infecting Trunks' multiverse, requiring Goku to grab Future Zeno to erase the entire timeline from existence just to stop Zamasu.
1 Zeno Literally Can't Die
Zeno is actually a terrifying character if you think about it. The closest thing Dragon Ball has to a definitive God, Zeno created the entire multiverse and can erase anything he wants with the blink of an eye. Zeno also has the temperament and maturity of a little kid, meaning he needs to be kept in a good mood, lest his tantrums wipe an entire universe from existence.
While Zeno has never been in a fight, Dragon Ball Super makes it clear that he cannot die by any means. At the end of the Goku Black Saga, Zeno erases everything from existence. The only survivor is himself, who now floats through a void of nothingness. Unlike other Dragon Ball characters, Zeno just has immortality built into him, making him extremely dangerous and powerful.
