Human characters in Dragon Ball have seen their roles change throughout the series' run. Initially serving as Goku's allies, rivals, and mentors, humans have taken a backseat to Saiyans, Namekians, and other types of stronger characters. But that doesn't make the main cast of human characters any less impressive.

In a world where Mr. Satan is seen as the pinnacle of martial arts ability by the public, Dragon Ball's main cast of humans are a rarity. They're strong enough to fly, break things most couldn't, and fire off energy beams. They might not be able to keep up with the series' insane powerscaling, but that doesn't make them any less impressive.

Dragon Ball: Goku’s 8 Strongest Kamehameha’s, Ranked

Goku's used plenty of different Kamehamehas over the years, but these are the strongest.

Yamcha - Super Spirit Ball

Super_Spirit_Ball

Yamcha might be a meme at this point, but he's still one of the strongest humans in the series. While he's been irrelevant for years, there was a point in time when Yamcha could at least contribute.

Of all his techniques, his strongest is his Spirit Ball. The Wolf Fang Fist might be the most memorable, but the Spirit Ball is a genuinely impressive original technique from Yamcha that allows him to create an energy sphere and control it with his index and middle fingers. Sadly, he hasn't had the chance to use it too much, but it's still a solid move.

Chiaotzu - Super Dodon Blast

Super Dodon Blast

Chiaotzu hasn't really done much in the series outside of being Tien's sidekick. He contributes at times, like fighting Krillin during the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, or nobly sacrificing himself (though sadly in vain) to try to take out Nappa when he and Vegeta invaded, but his impact is minimal. Still, compared to most humans, Chiaotzu is a cut above.

Though Chiaotzu stands out mostly for his telekinetic abilities, he also makes great use of the Crane School's signature Dodon Ray technique. The Super Dodon Blast is a much stronger version of the original that Chiaotzu uses against Krillin at the behest of his former master.

Master Roshi -The Greatest Kamehameha

The Greatest Kamehameha

Roshi's lecherousness can make you forget just how powerful he truly is. He's a martial arts master who took Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and others under his wing, teaching them a lot of what they know, while also being one of the legendary Master Mutaito's most well-known students.

The Kamehameha is Roshi's own move, but Goku has made it his own, improving greatly on the original with all kinds of incredible variations. Roshi had long-since been relegated to a spectator before the Tournament of Powe let him contribute again. During the tournament, Roshi let out his Greatest Kamehameha, a much stronger version of the MAX Power Kamehameha Roshi used in the original series.

Tien - Neo Tri-Beam

 Neo Tri-Beam Technique

Tien seemed to be primed to have a big role in the story following his turn from Shen's pupil and lapdog to Goku's ally. While he took a backseat to characters like Piccolo and Vegeta, he's still acknowledged as one of, if not the strongest pure humans in the series.

An improved version of Tien's Tri-Beam, the Neo Tri-Beam almost helped hold off Semi-Perfect Cell while he was trying to absorb Android 18. Tien nearly died using up all of his energy to continuously blast the bio-android, and while it wasn't enough to destroy Cell, it did enough to hold him off.

Krillin - Destructo Disc Triple Blade

Destructo Disc Triple Blade

Krillin is another character that fans claim is the strongest pure human. Though many overlook him due to his size and sometimes goofy personality, Krillin is genuinely one of the stronger Earthlings around. And while he's great with the Kamehameha, his Destructo Disc has way more potential.

A stronger variation of the technique, the Destructo Disc Triple Blade is essentially a barrage of discs that Krillin can use to overwhelm his enemies. The regular Destructo Disc has a notoriously low success rate, but it is great at forcing enemies to dodge and throwing them off. This variant is even better at that, allowing Krillin both a better chance to deal real damage and forcing his enemies to move out of his way.

Android 18 - Power Blitz

PowerBlitz1

Though part machine thanks to Dr. Gero, Android 17 & 18 are still mostly human. They've just been enhanced, making them stronger than pure humans in the series. Android 18 is an incredibly skilled fighter, and though she might be easy to underestimate, she can quickly turn things around in a fight.

Both 17 & 18 make use of the Power Blitz technique throughout the series, but it's a move that's more often used by the latter. It's essentially their strongest energy wave attack, and both have different variations that they mix in as well.

Android 17 - Grand Explode

Grandexplode

Android 17 was definitely the MVP of the Tournament of Power. 17 might not have been seen as Team Universe 7's strongest asset, but his resiliency and awareness paid off big time.

Grand Explode is a devastating combo 17 uses against Jiren in the tournament. He first rushes him, tackling the Pride Trooper with all his strength, then encloses them both in his Android Barrier and charges up a massive ki blast, injuring both himself and Jiren in the process. The move was enough to shake Jiren, showing that even though he's not thought of as a top fighter anymore, 17 still has what it takes to hang with the best of the best.
