After completing Goku's storyline in the Episode Battle mode of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, players will gain access to Jiren's saga. Despite being one of the shortest storylines that the Episode Battle mode has to offer, Jiren still has three possible endings, these being Strength is Absolute, True Strength, and Jiren's canon ending.
How to Unlock Every Character in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
There are 47 unlockable characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, most of whom can be acquired in a number of different ways.
Unlocking all three Jiren endings is far from easy, though, as the requirements for doing so can be a little confusing. Some of the fights leading up to Jiren's final showdown with Goku can be pretty challenging too, although Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO players can thankfully complete these on the easy difficulty setting if they prefer.
Before completing any of Jiren's endings, players should make sure that they don't have any Super Dragon Ball in their possession. The game does issue a warning if they do and will give them the option to cancel and return to the map screen rather than progress and miss out on their prize. However, at the time of writing, this option appears to be bugged, as although quitting here will prevent players from unlocking any of the endings, they won't receive any Super Dragon Balls when they do eventually trigger one.
How to Unlock Jiren's Canon Ending in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
To unlock Jiren's canon ending, players will simply need to play through Jiren's saga and then survive for around four minutes in the Ultimate Climactic Battle at the end. Players can tackle this one on the easy difficulty setting if they want to, although beating Frieza, Android 17, and Goku will still result in Jiren being eliminated from the tournament and the canon ending playing out.
How to Unlock Jiren's Strength is Absolute Ending in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
To unlock Jiren's Strength is Absolute ending, players should choose "Take care of her now" in Saiyan Rampage and then beat Frieza, Android 17, and Goku as fast as possible in Ultimate Climactic Battle. They'll have around four minutes to do this and will know when their time is almost up when Frieza reminds Goku of his promise to revive him if Universe 7 is victorious. As with other alternative objectives in Sparking! ZERO, this can only be done on the default difficulty setting.
How to Unlock Jiren's True Strength Ending in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
To unlock Jiren's True Strength ending, players should choose "Wait and see" in Saiyan Rampage and then progress through the alternate route until they arrive at Ultimate Climactic Battle. Here, they'll again need to beat Frieza, Android 17, and Goku quickly while playing on the default difficulty setting, only doing so after the encounter with Master Roshi will result in a slightly different ending.
Problems Unlocking Jiren's Endings
A lot of players have reported having problems unlocking all of Jiren's endings, although, thankfully, the fix is rather simple. Players can tell which ending they're in line to unlock by starting Ultimate Climactic Battle and then checking the Battle Details menu, which is accessed via the pause screen. If the alternate objective reads "Beat Frieza, Android 17, and Goku", completing it will unlock the Strength is Absolute Ending ending. If it reads "With Master Roshi defeated, defeat Frieza, Android 17, and Goku", players will instead unlock True Strength. To switch to the other ending, they'll just need to return to Saiyan Rampage and choose the corresponding option from the table below. Assuming they've already beaten all of the encounters leading up to Ultimate Climactic Battle, players will be able to pause and quit immediately after making their choice and then go straight back to Ultimate Climactic Battle rather than having to fight their way back there,
