After clearing everything in Episode Battle mode and completing Whis's Stamp Book, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO players may find it difficult to obtain more Dragon Balls. Thankfully, there's a way to farm Shenron and Porunga Dragon Balls relatively quickly, with players able to get a full set of the former in around twenty minutes or so.
How to Unlock Every Character in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
There are 47 unlockable characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, most of whom can be acquired in a number of different ways.
This method is also great for increasing characters' proficiency quickly as well as the number of times that they've been used in battle, both of which will reward titles and Zeni through their respective Zen-Oh's Orders. There is a tiny bit of setup involved, but Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO players can expect to be up and running within just a few minutes.
How to Farm Dragon Balls and Proficiency in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO
For this method to work, players will need the Rising Fighting Spirit Battle Ability item and a character with a powerful ki blast that has a short animation. Gogeta (Super) is an excellent pick for the latter, as his Stardust Blaster attack triggers almost instantly, while the Rising Fighting Spirit Battle Ability item can be picked up at the shop for 150,000 Zeni.
If players don't have access to the Rising Fighting Spirit Battle Ability item yet, they can instead try using Latent Power Unleased or a character whose ki blast only requires two bars of ki.
Assuming players have these things, they should make their way to the Battle menu and set up an offline P1 vs. CPU match. They'll want to use the World Tournament stage and be sure to turn the "Out-of-Bounds Rules" option to On. Higher difficulty settings seem to result in more Dragon Balls being dropped, so they should also set the CPU difficulty to Super.
As for their team, players will want to put the ki blast character in slot one and ensure to equip Rising Fighting Spirit on them via the Customize menu. The other four fighters should be characters whose proficiency players want to improve. Once they have everything ready, they can go ahead and start the battle.
The strategy for the fight itself is incredibly simple. Players will need to hold R2/RT + Square/X (or whatever button the ki blast they want to use is mapped to) and then hit the options/start button to skip the intro dialog. As the button inputs for the ki blast are already being pressed, this should result in them firing off a ki blast on the first possible frame and the other fighter flying straight out of the ring.
Players will stop receiving Dragon Balls once they have seven in their possession, so should try and keep track of how many they have to avoid unnecessary farming.
After claiming their rewards, players can restart and repeat as many times as they like. This strategy should work pretty much every time, although if the opening ki blast misses due to the other fighter performing a dash, it's a lot faster to just pause and restart than it is to try and score the out-of-bounds legitimately.
Players can expect to get a Shenron Dragon Ball every 5-10 fights. Porunga Dragon Balls are a lot rarer, though, with players needing to complete 20-30 fights for each one they get. Each fight should only last around two seconds, although when menu screen and reload times are taken into account, it's closer to 25 seconds per run.
Porunga Dragon Ball seems to drop a lot more frequently when players finish a fight using Goku (Z - End) Super Saiyan 3's Dragon Fist Ultimate. While farming for the A Flair for Fighting Trophy, we got four Porunga Dragon Balls in 20 fights.
