Dragon Ball: Age 1000 is the latest video game in the Dragon Ball series, but very little is known about the series other than its title and the design for the unnamed main character. Dragon Ball: Age 1000's unnamed protagonist has silver hair, incorporates green as a major part of his design, and has silver hair. A brief moment in the trailer suggests he has some connection to Goku, if not being a direct descendant of the Son family – that said, there's another Saiyan unrelated to Goku who Age 1000's hero may actually be descended from.
New Dragon Ball Video Game Age 1000 Revealed for 2027 Release
Officially revealed at Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri, a new Dragon Ball video game will be releasing next year in 2027.
Both Broly and Cheelai were introduced in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and sparked an immediate connection. While Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero teases a romance between Beerus and Cheelai, the crush seems to be entirely one-sided, whereas Cheelai and Broly care deeply for one another. Dragon Ball has never made romance a priority, but it would make sense for Broly & Cheelai to end up together; and Dragon Ball: Age 1000's main character may be living proof they do.
Dragon Ball: Age 1000's Main Character Shares Many Design Similarities With Broly & Cheelai
On a design level, there are several details which quietly link Dragon Ball: Age 1000's protagonist to both Broly and Cheelai. As far as looks go, Age 1000's hero kind of looks like Cheelai. Both characters share very similar hair styles and slim builds. Even their hair colors are similar, though Cheelai's is egg white while Age 1000's main character has distinctly silver hair much like Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku. In terms of overall color palette, Age 1000's main character slightly adopts Broly's color scheme.
It's Time To Say Goodbye to the Dragon Ball Super Manga & Toyotarou
With the Dragon Ball Super anime officially returning, fans expected news on Toyotarou's manga comeback, but things look grim for the manga's future.
Broly's main colors in Dragon Ball Super are black, green, and purple. Age 1000's hero trades purple for red, but otherwise blends black and green together as part of his overall coloring. The protagonist Age 1000 can also turn Super Saiyan, confirming that he is related to the Saiyans in some way. As of Dragon Ball Super, there are only three Saiyan families in Universe 7: Goku's, Vegeta's, and Broly's, so the main character in Age 1000 has to come from one of these three lines, with surface level evidence pointing at Broly.
Making Age 1000's Protagonist Connected to Broly Give the Story More Potential
While there is some evidence the protagonist in Age 1000 could be descended from Goku's family (primarily the Goku reference in the trailer, and the heavy implication the main hero is wearing a Great Saiyaman outfit), being related to Broly would give Dragon Ball: Age 1000's story the most narrative potential. Not only would it confirm that Broly and Cheelai do indeed end up in a romantic relationship, as the series has been slowly building, Broly's backstory gives the new character a lot to work with.
Dragon Ball: Age 1000's main hero could inherit Broly's temperament, down to his rage, giving him a personal struggle to deal with in-game. It would also allow him to unlock the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation down the road, which is treated as a unique form in Dragon Ball Super's lore. If Age 1000's main character is related to Goku or Vegeta, that means he can't use LSSJ. Being descended from Broly and Cheelai would also make Age 1000's protagonist the first hybrid Saiyan who isn't half-human, helping him stand out from Gohan, Goten, and Trunks.
Of course, it's entirely possible Age 1000's protagonist isn't related to anyone at all, either. In Dragon Ball Online, Saiyan DNA is so widespread on Earth, even humans can turn Super Saiyan. By Age 1000, humanity might be so "Saiyanified," for lack of better word, that Age 1000's main character can just turn SSJ on his own. That said, his design's similarities to both Broly and Cheelai are too close to ignore and might be hinting at the pair's eventual romance in Dragon Ball Super. It certainly wouldn't be the first time a wild Saiyan was tamed by a tech-savvy girl with an attitude.
