Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is Steam Deck-Verified, And Will Not Require EA's App for Steam Play
Together with this announcement, the company teased that more details about the upcoming RPG will be unveiled later in the summer. So far, BioWare is sharing new information about The Veilguard often. Gamers have already discovered that the new Dragon Age’s characters will have better hair and complex personal storylines, and BioWare has shared some interesting details about combat and exploration as well.
Earlier this week, BioWare also announced Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s cast. The list included 14 actors who will portray 11 characters in the game, including multiple actors for the protagonist Rooke, such as Erika Ishii and Bryony Corrigan. Ali Hillis, who previously worked on Mass Effect 3, will return to a BioWare game as Harding, while the famous Critical Role actor and dungeon master Matthew Mercer will play Manfred.
Also, unlike Dragon Age: Inquisition, which had a multiplayer component in which players could try out a co-op mode with up to four players, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not have multiplayer. This information was recently confirmed by BioWare’s general manager Gary McKey, who explained that the developers focused on “amazing storytelling” and “unforgettable characters,” as well as choices that affected the world, and multiplayer simply did not mesh very well with these ideas. Considering how polarizing the multiplayer in Inquisition was, this feature will likely not be missed by many Dragon Age fans.
