A fan-favorite character was recently revealed to appear in the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the eagerly awaited sequel of Inquisition, which was released in 2014, and will bring back several beloved characters such as Varric and Solas, as well as some others that never directly appeared in the mainline games before.
NOTE: This article contains a potential spoiler for the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
After years in development, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31. The game will have Rook as its protagonist, as well as seven companions: Davrin, Taash, Scout Harding, Lucanis, Bellara, Emmrich, and Neve Gallus. To explain more about the next Dragon Age to fans, BioWare has recently hosted a Discord Q&A, answering questions from the community about Dragon Age: The Veilguard and revealing that a fan-favorite character will be present in the title.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC Features Revealed
EA reveals Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC features, offering plenty of graphical and control-specific options, as well as Steam Deck support.
According to Dragon Age: The Veilguard director Corinne Busche, Maevaris Tilani will appear in the game. Maevaris Tilani is a popular Tevinter Magister who appeared in Dragon Age spin-off works such as Those Who Speak, Until We Sleep, and Heroes of Dragon Age. The character is also mentioned in Dragon Age: Inquisition, appearing in two minor War Table quests. Nicknamed Mae, this Magister was revealed to be the first transgender character in the series, and many fans were eager for her possible appearance in The Veilguard. At the moment, however, it’s still unknown how prominent Maevaris’ appearance will be, as Busche really only confirmed Mae's appearance in the game and expressed her own excitement.
Maevaris Tilani Will Appear in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
This was not the only interesting information divulged in BioWare’s Discord Q&A, though. Busche also revealed that characters in Dragon Age: The Veilguard will have special exploration abilities, with each companion providing one. However, players will not need to keep individual team members around to use these abilities, as Rook will have access to all of them.
BioWare has been revealing many details about The Veilguard in the last few days. Earlier this week, for example, the studio shared new screenshots of Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s companions, exciting the fan base.
Recently, BioWare also shared screenshots of the Lighthouse in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This location will act as the party’s official headquarters, and the developers have showcased the individual rooms of each companion, giving players a glimpse of their personalities. BioWare is likely to divulge even more relevant information in the coming days, so gamers should stay tuned to discover more details about the upcoming RPG.
