In Memoriam side quest will lead Rook to murder investigations in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. There are three bodies found in Dock Town that seem to be placed in the middle of a ritual drawing. Your job is to work with Compassion, a spirit, and identify the victims.
Players will fight many enemies while completing the quest, but it will be worth it in the end as they will obtain many rewards. Besides rewards, you will increase your bond with the companions you choose to bring along on this side quest.

How To Trigger In Memoriam Quest In Dragon Age: The Veilguard
To trigger the In Memorian quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players must find a spirit called Compassion. After unlocking Docks Town in Minrathous as an area for exploration, you will gain access to some of the side quests. Head to the exclamation mark in Urthemiel Venue and examine the dead body. Defeat the attacking enemies to speak with Compassion.
In short, the In Memoriam quest requires you to find three dead bodies and investigate their murder as well as find out their identity. Once the quest is completed in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, players will obtain 200 Gold, 500 XP, Fade-Touched Crystals, 100 Shadow Dragons Strength, and an increased bond with companions.
Murder Victim Location #1
After talking with Compassion on the bridge, follow the bloodstains into a small house. Read the letter to find out that the first victim was Hortensia, and she was a gardener. Satisfied, Compassion sends players to locate another body.
Murder Victim Location #2
Head to the Beacon near the Temple of Andraste and go past the courtyard inside the building. Proceed to the northern exit to find the second body on the right. Approaching it triggers a fight; kill the enemies and talk with Compassion.
Follow the bloodstains to the Beacon, then climb the raised platform behind the Wolf statue. The note on the table reveals the victim was a scholar named Marcus.
Murder Victim Location #3
Get out of the temple and follow the blue mark to go down a ladder and examine the third body, which will initiate a fight. Speak with Compassion, then head west while following the bloodstains and climb the ladder found to the right.
Read the note across the chest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard to solve the mystery. The victim was Evander, who liked drawing with charcoal. Compassion speaks with you one last time and the quest is completed.
