Four years later, fans of the controversial Call of Duty streamer still don't know why he was permanently removed from Twitch. The two sides have settled outside of court following their dispute, with neither admitting guilt.

Following a short hiatus, Dr Disrespect returned to streaming, making his transition from Twitch to YouTube. Continuing his persona and playing a variety of different games, Dr Disrespect hasn't missed a beat. There have been countless moments that his fans reference during his tenure on the new platform, including uninstalling Call of Duty: Warzone following a nuke win in season 2. Though the banning from Twitch affected Dr Disrespect in the short term, he's bounced back tremendously over the last four years and become one of the biggest streamers on YouTube.

While Dr Disrespect continues to increase his audience reach on YouTube, there is a possibility of reinstatement on Twitch in the future. In an interview with Clancy in late 2023, the Twitch CEO hinted at the potential of revisiting permanently-banned users and giving them a second chance. While he resisted naming any content creators, many pointed to the idea that Dr Disrespect was one of the streamers in mind, along with political streamer Destiny and variety streamer iShowSpeed. While nothing has come of this statement since, the door may one day be open for Dr Disrespect returning to the platform.

The decision may come down to the highest bidder, and there could be plenty of suitors in play alongside Twitch. In 2023, Dr Disrespect revealed his price to Kick, to which the platform's social media responded in comedic fashion. While it's unlikely he'll receive $50 million to join Kick, it would benefit the platform to add yet another popular content creator alongside big names like xQc and Adin Ross.
