At the new reduced price of $20.99, the high-octane game is much more affordable than its sticker price of $69.99. That’s savings of $49, which should give all fans of adrenaline-fueled racing games a hint to head to the links and grab it while it's available.
The game is developed by Criterion Games and is published by Electronic Arts. The latter doesn't really need an introduction as one of the largest game companies in the world, responsible for some of the most popular sports games, Star Wars titles, and much more. Criterion Games has a long-standing history in racing games, known for the Burnout series and several Need for Speed titles.
Need for Speed Unbound, also known as NFS Unbound, was released just last year. As the 25th iteration in the Need for Speed franchise, it marks the return of Criterion Games to the Need for Speed series after nearly a decade. The game incorporates a unique art style, featuring artistic elements like cel-shading and graffiti art with the more realistic visuals of other Need for Speed games. The game is set in the fictional city of Lakeshore City, which is inspired by Chicago. In the game, players race against time and try to avoid law enforcement, as is customary to the franchise.
Customization is central to the game again, offering players the chance to fill their garages with custom-tuned cars. The goal of the game is to prove themselves by winning The Grand, Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge. The game features not only an engaging single-player campaign but also a multiplayer mode.
