Call of Duty games feature several game modes, such as Standard and Hardcore, which players can choose from, depending on their personal preference and playstyle. The Hardcore mode is one of the most popular playlists in Modern Warfare 3(2023), and many fans are concerned whether it will be when MW3 is released.
The Hardcore mode is ideal for aggressive players who want to take down opponents with a single shot and hide in plain sight. Featuring a fast time-to-kill, a vast selection of arsenal weapons, and a limited HUD (head-up display), the Hardcore mode is a quicker way to unlock some of the multiplayer mastery camos.
Will COD Points Transfer to MW3?
Here's all you need to know about whether COD points purchased on Modern Warfare 2 will transfer to MW3 when it launches.
Will Modern Warfare 3 Have Hardcore Mode?
Yes, Modern Warfare 3 will feature the Hardcore mode. The mode will be among the several playlists available, giving fans plenty of playstyles to choose from to suit their taste and style. Modern Warfare 3 devs confirmed this back when they announced the launch of Modern Warfare 3.
Unlike the standard mode, which features a longer time to kill, the Hardcore mode is relatively fast-paced and allows players to take down their foes with a single shot. The vast selection of weapons available in this mode can quickly eliminate targets with a small amount of ammunition. However, with the Hardcore mode, players can’t tell how many rounds they have left in their magazine, which can be risky during a heated gunfight, but this is neutralized with the fast time-to-kill. Players who want to rank weapons first should consider the Hardcore mode, as it makes camo grinding and weapon progression much easier.
The Hardcore mode is making a comeback to COD after failing to feature in Modern Warfare 2. The previous title scrapped the Hardcore mode for the Tier 1 playlist, which wasn’t well received by players since it removed hitmakers, the HUD, the killed, and any confirmation players got a kill. Activision was forced to bring back the Hardcore mode in Modern Warfare’s 2 season 2 update due to the backlash of the Tier 1 Playlist.
At the time of writing, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have not confirmed whether the Hardcore mode will be featured at MW3’s launch on November 10. Currently, the modes confirmed to be available when the game launches are Domination, Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Kill Confirmed. However, players can rest assured that the mode will be available in Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
