A Reddit user who goes by the name Abrakadaverus made a post on r/Gaming to share an Easter egg while they were playing The Division 2. The Easter egg shows a fun homage to many gamers' favorite banjo-wielding bear, Banjo-Kazooie. Abrakadaverus noticed the tribute while exploring Manning National Zoo. A statue of a bear holding a banjo and dawning a parrot on its backpack can be found within the area, a clear reference to the title character of the Rare-developed game.

With Banjo-Kazooie still being one of the best platformers to date, it's no surprise why a die-hard fan of the Nintendo 64 game would want to add the character for other Banjo fans to find. For years, many fans of the franchise have been begging for the return of Banjo and his bird friend Kazooie with either a new game or, at the very least, a remake.

Although this isn't the first time this Easter egg has been noticed, it's still a fun discovery within the game years after The Division 2's release back in 2019. Easter eggs can be some of the most amusing discoveries when exploring maps in games. For a game that came out in 1998, Banjo-Kazooie still holds a passionate following that leads developers of newer games like The Division 2 to still pay tribute to the characters, even if in secret.

The Division 2 is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
