Many months after its addition to PlayStation Plus Premium in November 2023, 2009's classic PSP game, Disney-Pixar Up, was updated with trophy support on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Similarly to Disney-Pixar WALL-E, Disney-Pixar Up will have a platinum trophy up for grabs, and players who don't have a PlayStation Plus membership can purchase the game separately.
Sony has an evolving monthly lineup of free games that PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers may redeem and keep as long as their subscription renews. The Premium tier grants access to classic PS1, PS2, and PSP games, along with cloud streaming for PS3 and PS5 games. On May 6, Sony released its May 2025 PlayStation Plus Essential batch of free games, which includes Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Before Sony revealed its May 2025 PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium batch of games, Disney-Pixar Up was updated with trophy support.
New PS Plus Game for May 2025 is a Big Hit
One of the free PlayStation Plus games for May 2025 is proving to be a massive hit with subscribers.
The PS4 and PS5 versions of Disney-Pixar Up (PSP) were updated with trophy support on May 13, and PS Plus Premium subscribers can begin earning trophies right now. According to Exophase, there are 21 trophies in total for PS Plus Premium subscribers to unlock, including two bronze trophies, 10 silver trophies, eight gold trophies, and the coveted platinum trophy. These trophies can be obtained by obtaining key items like the Golf Club and Magnifying Glass, beating bosses like Beta and Gamma, and achieving certain feats in each chapter, such as saving or squishing 100 bugs in a single chapter.
Disney-Pixar Up Has Been Updated With Trophy Support on PS4 and PS5
It should be noted that players who don't have PS Plus Premium can still buy Disney-Pixar Up separately for $5.99. Although Disney-Pixar Up is based on the PSP version rather than the PS2 version, PS Plus Premium members can still take advantage of various features while hunting for trophies, including enhanced up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters. PS Plus Premium subscribers can also stream Disney-Pixar Up via PS5 game streaming on supported devices in the future, including the PlayStation Portal handheld.
Sony is likely preparing to reveal its new PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for May 2025, with more classic PS2 and PSP games possibly being part of the lineup. An announcement could come as soon as May 14, as Sony typically reveals the month's PS Plus Extra and Premium games midway through each month. It's worth noting that at least 22 games will be leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on May 20, however. The games that will be leaving PS Plus include Batman: Arkham Knight, Enter the Gungeon, Grand Theft Auto 5, Infamous: Second Son, Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and The Sims 4: Island Living.
