Disney Dreamlight Valley showcases a diverse collection of heroes and villains from favorite Disney movies. As might be expected, the villains are not always the most well-behaved residents of Dreamlight Valley, requiring the player to intervene at times to help maintain harmony within the Village.
The "Voice of Reason" quest allows the player to settle a troublesome issue instigated by the malevolent sea queen Ursula in her earlier quest, "A Show Like No Other." Continue reading to find out how to solve the problems she’s caused and complete the "Voice of Reason" quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start the Quest "Voice of Reason"
After finishing Ursula's quest, "A Show Like No Other" and waiting until one real world hour has passed, the player will be able to speak to Ursula and accept the quest "Voice of Reason."
This is the third quest in a series available only by purchasing the Ursula's Transformation Dream Bundle in Disney Dreamlight Valley.The bundle, which can be purchased using the game's paid currency, Moonstones, not only provides an exclusive Dream Style skin for Ursula but also offers an array of themed rewards earned by completing the new set of quests.
Catch Voice Squid and Compose Lyrics
Ursula tells the player that she has turned Mother Gothel, Mirabel, and Kristoff’s voices into Voice Squid. To recover their stolen voices, the player will have to catch each of these quest-specific squid in the following biomes:
- Glade of Trust
- Forest of Valor
- Peaceful Meadow
The special green squid can be caught only in sparkling, orange pools found within fishing spots in each biome. Once the player has caught the three squid, they then need to seek out and speak with Mother Gothel, Mirabel, and Kristoff.
Craft a Verse with Each Afflicted Villager
Before each character’s voice can be restored, the player must also compose lyrics with each of these villagers. The player explains the situation to each of the characters, who will then provide the first verse. The player must then select a second line from a list of three options. It does not matter which option the player chooses, as they all will form a rhyme, which was Ursula’s only criteria.
Bring the Voice Squid to "Vanessa"
Return to “Vanessa” and hand over the three Voice Squid and the player will recite the lyrics from each character. Ursula tells the player that, once again, another task must be completed before the villagers’ voices can be returned.
Collect Materials for the Enchanted Stage
She asks the player to collect a large batch of materials and craft an appropriately extravagant stage for her performance. To complete the Enchanted Stage, the player needs to gather the following items:

Craft and Place the Enchanted Stage
With the materials collected, head to any crafting station and click on the “Furniture” tab to find the Enchanted Stage recipe at the front of the recipe list. Craft the stage, then return to Ursula. She commends the player on their terrific job of crafting the perfect stage and instructs them to place it anywhere in the Glade of Trust.
Place the Enchanted Stage and Take a Photo
Once the Enchanted Stage has been placed, the player is prompted to take a photo, then speak with Ursula regarding the villager’s voices. She assures the player that they have all been returned to normal, and the player needs to seek out each resident to make sure the enchantment was successful. Locate and speak with Mirabel, Kristoff, and Mother Gothel, who will all confirm that their singing voices have indeed returned.
Return to Ursula and let her know that everyone is back to normal. She doesn’t seem very remorseful for her actions, but she thanks the player for their efforts and rewards them with the Enchanted Stage and Enchanted Mic furniture. The Enchanted Mic can be placed indoors, but the Enchanted Stage is outdoor decor only. This completes the quest "Voice of Reason," allowing the player to move on to Ursula's next quest, "Deal of the Day: Off the Hook."
