Besides the Pride of the Valley update, Disney Dreamlight Valley fans now have another reason to get excited as free exclusive items have just been announced as part of the first Twitch Drops campaign. Disney Dreamlight Valley will go free-to-play soon, but before this happens, the developers are still setting up the game, fixing major bugs, and adding content to guarantee that there's plenty to do once new players come along.At the start of the year, gamers got some insight into what was coming with the release of the Disney Dreamlight Valley Early 2023 content roadmap. Not everything that's coming this year has been revealed, but so far it seems that a lot of new features, items, and characters are going to be added to the game with these first few updates. So far, each content update has added useful and fun features to keep the game active and as entertaining as ever. Perhaps to some players' surprise, these updates aren't going to be all – even more free content is coming to the valley. Disney Dreamlight Valley fans will actually be able to unlock exclusive time-limited items as part of a Twitch Drops campaign to celebrate the Pride of the Valley update. From April 5 to April 12, the Twitch Drops campaign will be live, and it will be promoted by various Disney Dreamlight Valley content creators eligible for the drops.
Players that are interested in participating will be able to unlock an RGB-inspired gaming set to put inside their Disney Dreamlight Valley house. These include a Gamer Mickey Ears Headband, a Gamer Chair, a Gamer Laptop, and a Comfy Gamer Hoodie. In order to acquire the complete set, players will have to watch Twitch content for a total of two and a half hours. The amount of time for each drop will increase exponentially as the first item only takes 15 minutes to unlock and the last one requires a full hour.
Many games have adhered to Twitch Drop campaigns. This is the first time that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be doing something of this sort, but it might not be the last. It is unknown how well it will sit with its community, but hopefully, fans will enjoy this new way of acquiring free items and will want to participate in future campaigns should they take place ever again in the future.
