How to Remove Small Evil Plants
Eternity Isle’s Wild Tangle biome features Small Evil Plants. Players may not even realize that these are not part of the zone’s standard decor, which includes plants and rocks that can be placed and rearranged to customize the area to the player’s preference. However, these plants are deemed inherently evil and ought to be removed. Beyond their moral standing, it's beneficial to clear them out as they yield Tropical Wood, a crafting material essential for various recipes in A Rift in Time.
To remove the Small Evil Plants, players need to craft a Small Evil Plant Watering Can Potion. Doing so is an objective of Merlin’s story quest, “Village Project: Timeless Trash,” and requires the player to visit the Timebending Table after collecting the following ingredients:
- 500 Mist
- 20 Tropical Wood

Mist is gathered by finishing Mist Duties, clearing Splinters of Fate, and using the Royal Hourglass for treasure hunting. Players can find Tropical Wood on the ground near trees in the four areas of the Wild Tangle biome: The Grasslands, The Grove, The Promenade, and The Lagoon.
After crafting the Small Evil Plant Watering Can Potion at the Timebending Table, the Royal Watering Can is upgraded automatically, allowing players to remove Small Evil Plants. Removing these plants yields Tropical Wood.
How to Remove Large Evil Plants
Large Evil Plants live up to their name, towering across the Wild Tangle biome and taking up more than their fair share of space. Players will likely be keen to reclaim territory from these leafy giants. With another crafted upgrade, the Royal Watering Can is again the tool of choice for disintegrating these overgrown plants.
Once the player finishes the "Village Project: Timeless Trash" quest, Merlin presents the next task, "Village Project: Timeless Tools." To finish this quest, the player must craft all available Royal Tool upgrades at the Timebending Table, including the potion necessary to remove Large Evil Plants.
How to Craft Large Evil Plant Watering Can Potion
Players must first upgrade their Royal Hourglass to Level 1 using Mist at the Timebending Table before crafting the Large Evil Plant Watering Can Potion. This upgrade unlocks new recipes and enables the discovery of Ancient Core (Level 1) during Timebending, an essential material for the potion. To craft it, the player will need to gather the following ingredients:
- 3000 Mist
- 1 Ancient Core (Level 1)
- 40 Tropical Wood
After collecting the materials using the methods previously detailed, the player can locate the Large Evil Plant Watering Can Potion recipe under the "Special" category at the Timebending Table. Crafting this potion will immediately upgrade the Royal Watering Can, enabling the player to clear the Large Evil Plants from the Wild Tangle.
