Disney Dreamlight Valley is shaking things up with the addition of Star Wars content. While this new content is simply Star Wars-themed furniture, clothing, companions, and the like, these new assets open the floodgates for Marvel content to eventually come to Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Typically, Disney Dreamlight Valley focuses on properties from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios, which have served as the sources for the Villagers that have been added to the game. However, Star Paths occasionally break from that trend, exploring franchises that are left untapped by the game's character additions. For example, Star Paths have introduced items themed to the various Disney Parks and Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs). Even the game’s current Garden of Whimsy Star Path has expanded into a new franchise, Disney Fairies, and does not only feature items inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the focus of the game's latest update. Similarly, the game's Premium Shop is not beholden to Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios properties, and the new Star Wars items that are available through the shop make a Marvel-themed Star Path seem like a real possibility.
What a Marvel Star Path Would Likely Include
It is important to consider the established parameters of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Star Paths when discussing what content could reasonably fit into a Marvel-themed addition. Disney Dreamlight Valley has been expanding its Star Paths with bonus tiers for quite some time, with the Frost and Fairies Star Path being one of the most recent examples of this type of expansion. These expanded Star Paths have six primary tiers and three bonus tiers, and they have a free and a Premium track, with certain furniture, clothing, motifs, and Moonstones scattered across both tracks. However, a Star Path’s singular Companion and at least one of its Dream Styles are typically behind the Premium paywall.
With these parameters in mind, nailing down what furniture and clothing items could be available in a Marvel Star Path is much easier. Recent Star Paths tend to reward players with more furniture than clothing items. Some furniture items could be themed to the different ships and equipment that appear in Marvel properties, like wallpaper the same shade of blue as Guardians of the Galaxy’s Milano or a black-and-white TV to reference WandaVision. Clothing items would be much easier to nail down, like a navy blue cape for Doctor Strange or any number of superhero face masks.
What Could Be in a Marvel Star Path's Premium Track
Hand accessories are typically reserved for a Star Path’s Premium track, and items like Captain America’s shield and Mjolnir would likely be behind a paywall. But Star Paths also has other big ticket items, like an additional character Dream Style and, occasionally, a home Dream Style in a bonus tier. Avengers Tower would make a great house Dream Style for a Marvel Star Path, though the tower may have had a short-lived history in the MCU. Character Dream Styles are similarly easy to nail down, as a new comic series from Marvel featuring Mickey and Friends would be the perfect inspiration.
One of the latest entries into What If…? Follows Mickey and crew as the Avengers. Mickey is Iron Man, Donald is Thor, Goofy is Hulk, Minnie is the Wasp, and Pluto is Ant-Man. In another What If...? Entry, Minnie became Captain Marvel, and Donald took over Mickey’s role as Iron Man (and even took his own stab at being Wolverine). Any of these character designs would be perfect for the hypothetical Marvel Star Path’s character Dream Styles, but narrowing down these choices would not only be difficult for fans, but also for Disney Dreamlight Valley developers.
