The magical world of Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players a cozy and relaxing experience with their favorite Disney characters, including Simba from The Lion King, Anna and Elsa from Frozen, and many more. Alongside these characters, players can delve into the overarching story of Dreamlight Valley's Act 1, which focuses on a catastrophic event known as The Forgetting that has affected the Valley and its residents.

In addition to a rich assortment of quests designed to deepen relationships with the Valley's residents, players can also undertake daily and cumulative tasks called Dreamlight Duties. These tasks grant players a special currency, Dreamlight, used for important crafting recipes and unlocking new biomes.

How Do Seasonal Dreamlight Duties Work

Dreamlight Duties in Disney Dreamlight Valley

While most Dreamlight Duties focus around completing everyday tasks and can be completed year-round, there are a small assortment of duties which require the player to meet certain objectives themed to a specific in-game holiday. One example of such is the Halloween-themed Dreamlight Duty “Trick or Treat.”

While some holiday themed Dreamlight Duties require items or objectives availably only during their corresponding event, some tasks can still be completed after the event has passed, including the Halloween-themed Dreamlight Duty “Trick or Treat.” Here’s what players need to do to complete this task in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete “Trick or Treat”

To complete the “Trick or Treat” duty, players need to gift 10 different villagers a piece of Candy, thereby earning a festive Mickey Mouse Pumpkin furniture item. Initially, players have access to most of the villagers they'll need to complete this task. Players can unlock more by gaining access to their respective realms by spending Dreamlight and completing quests. Progress in Dreamlight Duties is cumulative, allowing players to make ongoing contributions toward completing the task as they unlock new villagers.

It’s important to note that the “Trick or Treat” duty requires the player to prepare and hand out regular Candy, not the colored candy, including Purple Candy, Red Candy, and Green Candy, that is collected during the event. These special, seasonal candies are required to complete the task “A Three-Course Halloween Meal.”

To craft 10 pieces of Candy, the player needs to collect 10 of any ingredients in the Sweets category:

Where to Get It

Cocoa Bean

Foraged from trees found in the Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau biomes.

Sugarcane

Harvested from grown seeds purchased at Goofy's Stall in the Dazzle Beach biome.

Vanilla

With the ingredients in hand, head to any cooking station and prepare this delicious dessert for the residents of the Valley. Seek out villagers, speak with them, and select the “I have something to give you!” Option, then hand over the Candy. Once the player has given candy to 10 different villagers, they will complete the Dreamlight Duty “Trick or Treat” and earn the Mickey Mouse Pumpkin furniture item.
