Disney Dreamlight Valley is still in early access, so only gamers that have bought a Founder's Pack or have a Game Pass subscription get to play it before its full launch, but the game will eventually become free to play. Until then, players can expect regular content updates so the developers can get it to a state where there is plenty for newcomers to do.

Although Gameloft has been teasing the release of the DreamSnaps update quite regularly on social media over the past few days, it didn't reveal any relevant information or drop any hints regarding its release date and time.

For a while, the only details that fans knew about its release date were that it was going to be known as the summer update and that it would only be released between The Remembering update in early June and Belle's update in September. With this in mind, gamers expected it to either drop in mid-July or early August.

It has now been revealed that the Disney Dreamlight Valley DreamSnaps update will become available on July 19 at 9 AM ET.

The patch notes were posted on the official Disney Dreamlight Valley website alongside the information about the update's release date.

Even though Vanellope will be joining the valley with the DreamSnaps update, it will mostly be feature-focused. Nevertheless, she will have her own friendship quests like all other villagers, as well as her own home and themed Wreck-It Ralph items.

Gamers will have the opportunity to earn free Moonstones regularly with the new community photography challenges, hence the name DreamSnaps. Players will be able to earn Moonstones and cosmetic rewards simply by participating in the weekly themes for the contest and also by voting for their favorite entries. This will definitely make it easier for all fans to obtain Dream Bundles without having to use real money.

Vanellope and the DreamSnap competitions are the two biggest additions being made to Disney Dreamlight Valley with the summer update. Players can expect another major content update like The Remembering to drop in September, with characters coming in from the Beauty and the Beast realm.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available in early access on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
