Head up the path to find a group of wooden carts towards the end. You should be able to see Mulan's Key on the ground near some rocks by its golden sparkles. Collect the key, and return to Mulan's storage chest to see what's inside.
What Does Mulan's Key Unlock In Disney Dreamlight Valley?
When you open the chest using Mulan's key, inside you can grab a reward called Mulan's Surprise. Open it to find the Defender's Sword, which is a decorative furniture item that you can place indoors as a wall decoration.
Upon completing Clearing the Road, you can then welcome Mulan and Mushu to the Valley once you've built a house for them and begin their Friendship questlines.
