After unlocking Timon and Pumbaa in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can now focus on each character to find out what’s troubling them in the valley and try to lend a hand. Timon, for instance, requires some inner peace and requests the Dreamer’s help as he's extremely paranoid.
The Old Enemies quest in DDV is the first Friendship mission for Timon once you reach Friendship level two. Players can easily achieve that level with characters by having a Daily Conversation or giving gifts. This will immediately increase affection points.

Players need to complete three quests in order to unlock both Timon and Pumbaa in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Trigger Old Enemies Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once Timon is settled in the village, keep interacting with him until you achieve level two Friendship which triggers the Old Enemies quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Timon is distressed that the village is full of dangerous characters, so he gives you some items to protect the Pride Rock and decorate it.
Head to Simba and Nala’s home, the Pride Rock, and turn it into a Jungle Oasis using Timon’s items. Once done, talk to the Meerkat and convince him to take some time to get used to the village. Wait 15 minutes in real life and seek out Timon again.
Sadly, his fear got the better of him, so he teamed up with Vanellope and the latter left a trap in Scar’s house. Go to the house and use the Pickaxe to destroy the trap. Next, apologize to Scar and speak with Vanellope to remind her that everybody is friends.
Return to Timon and speak with him as he tries to explain his fears of carnivorous characters. To make him feel at ease, talk with Pumbaa who suggests collecting some materials and ingredients to craft a Board Game as well as cooking some Dreamlight Ice Cream.

Craft the Board Game and cook the food in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Finally, return to Timon and set up the Board Game anywhere in the valley to take pictures with Pumbaa and Timon. Speak with the latter one last time to end the Old Enemies quest.
