How To Unlock Joy In DDV - Disney Dreamlight Valley

To unlock Joy in Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete the Dream On quest, which takes place in the Inside Out Realm as well as the valley. You start in the Realm where Joy is worried about Riley's upcoming talent show and wants to use the Dream Production set to help give Riley ideas. Head to the new set Joy finds, as she and Sadness are banned from the other one, and listen to her request.

First, players must grab three Elegant pieces of furniture from the left side of the room with a hint of gold to decorate the stage. Get the golden globe, fireplace, and a gold pot of plant, then place them behind the piano. Dress your avatar with Elegant clothing as well to start the dream. Return the next day to Joy to find out the dream received bad reviews and no one liked the idea. Upon suggesting making a light stick, Joy agrees to move to Dreamlight Valley.

Return to the valley and place the emotions' house by paying 10,000 Star Coins to Scrooge McDuck and then welcome Joy. Players are not done with the quest as the light stick still requires some materials to get crafted.

How To Complete The Dream On Quest In DDV - Disney Dreamlight Valley

You need to find a couple of colorful materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley and craft the light stick to complete the Dream On quest.

Topaz	Mine nodes in the Plaza, The Docks, The Courtyard, and The Bind
Apple	Look for trees in the Plaza and the Forgotten Lands.
Seaweed	Fish outside of ripples in Dreamlight Valley. Use the crafting station to turn one Red Algae into five Seaweeds.
Blue Falling Penstemon	Gather from the Plaza, you can find a maximum of four flowers.
Carrot	Buy as seeds or crop from Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow.
Onyx	Mine any node anywhere to get the gem randomly.

Give the materials to Joy to obtain the light stick. This will complete the Dream On quest and Dreamers are then sent to Sadness in the Inside Out Realm to invite her to the valley as well, but not before completing another task first.
