Unlocking a character as a villager is essential in Disney Dreamlight Valley. That’s because Dreamers are unable to hang out and build a friendship with the character if they are not available, and the same thing applies to Hades.
Although the king of the underworld is a villain, you can still complete a few quests and unlock him as a friend. You get to spend some time (and materials) to help Hades achieve his goal through multiple friendship quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How To Unlock Hades In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Similar to how players unlocked Flynn Rider in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Hades is hidden in a trial deep within the Elysian Fields area. To access it, you must collect 2,000 Story Magic from completing various duties and remove the Wall of Ink. Upon stepping inside, A Land of Myths and Legends quest will start.
Approach the gazebo located south of the Elysian Fields to see a deactivated wheel. Head back to The Lorekeeper, who suggests getting help from Merida in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
The redhead takes you back to the gazebo and asks you to collect two Wisps. It turns out that they are blue flames that can be placed on the braziers near the trial’s entrance. Use the Royal Net on the wheel to activate the portal to the first Mythic Trial.
Once inside, the Guts & Glory quest will be triggered and Dreamers will immediately find Hades, who is trying to move a cart full of vases but keeps getting blocked. The Ruler must help him deliver the cart to the end to unlock the villain.
How To Deliver The Cart Of Vases Across In Disney Dreamlight Valley
First, give the cart a push and follow Hades to the next platform by crossing the bridge. Next, interact with the lever to lower the bridge, then cross it to activate the wheel on the other side using the Royal Net in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After unlocking the gate, stand in the middle of the bridge and push the cart again.
Follow Hades a second time to a vortex and use the Royal Fishing Rod to fish out a bridge. Cross it and turn the wheel twice to proceed with the quest.
For the final puzzle, lower the first bridge and cross it to reach a platform with a second bridge. Use the nearby lever to lower it and cross it to activate the wheel, which opens the gate. Interact with the same lever to raise the second bridge, and stand on the first one to give the cart one final push.
Touch the source of corruption in the first Mythic Trial to end it. Once you and Hades are out, you can build him a home for 10,000 Star Coins to complete the Guts & Glory quest, thus unlocking the villain as a villager.
