How to Cast for Some Trout in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Dreamers will have to catch Rainbow Trout for this duty since regular trout is not available in the game. So to complete this Star Path task, players need to catch a total of 10 Rainbow Trouts.
Begin by opening the map and traveling to Peaceful Meadow or Forest of Valor in Dreamlight Valley. Players who have access to Eternity Isle can look for this fish in The Oasis of the Glittering Dunes.
However, if it’s your first visit, you will need to unlock one of these biomes first. Peaceful Meadow is a free biome, and players can access Forest of Valor by spending 3000 Dreamlight. The Oasis, on the other hand, costs 6,000 Mist. If you don’t have enough of these currencies, you can collect some by doing Dreamlight or Mist duties.
Once you enter the biome, head to any water body and cast your line in the white bubbles. Keep in mind that the white ripples are the only points where Rainbow Trout spawns, so focus on those areas only. Like all fish in DDV, players will need a Fishing Rod to catch the Rainbow Trout, which you will get as part of The Royal Tools quest pretty early in your playthrough.
Keep in mind that you have to catch 10 Rainbow Trout to complete this duty. If you feel the task is too tedious, you can bring a fishing companion with you to save time and energy. You might also catch Seaweed during the process that you can later sell for 20 Star Coins at the Goofy’s Stall. If you have unlocked Moana and completed her level 2 quest, Fixing the Boat, you can simply check her boat and see if it has your desired fish.
Rainbow Trout is a main ingredient in many DDV recipes like Rainbouillabaisse, Milky Way Stew, and Seared Rainbow Trout. Moreover, you can also sell this fish for 50 Star Coins or consume it to restore 300 Energy.
