The latest Disney Dreamlight Valley update has brought a new five-star meal to the game called Sesame Balls in addition to new characters to unlock and a star path filled with Mulan-themed rewards. Players need to make this meal during The Guardian Party quest, but it’s not a quest-exclusive meal, so you can make this delicious Chinese appetizer anytime.
Below, we will show you what ingredients you need to make Sesame Balls in DDV.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Guardian Party Walkthrough
The Guardian Party is a fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley where you help Mushu arrange a party. Here's how you can complete it.
How to Make Sesame Balls in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To make Sesame Balls, Dreamers need the following five items:
- Wheat
- Ginger
- Rice
- Soya
- Seaweed
How to Get Wheat
Wheat is a versatile ingredient used in many dishes in the game. You can buy it from Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome. A bag of wheat seeds will cost you only one Star Coin, and luckily, it grows in just a minute. If you have some extra wheat, you can sell it for two Star Coins to Goofy.
How to Get Ginger
To get Ginger, Dreamers will have to go to the Forgotten Lands biome. This biome can be unlocked with 15,000 Dreamlight, but you can only access it through the Sunlit Plateau biome, so you’ll have to unlock the latter one first. Once there, find green plants with purple leaves on the ground and harvest them.
How to Get Rice
Rice is a staple ingredient in many DDV meals. You can get it from Goofy's shop in the Glade of Trust biome, which can be unlocked by spending 5,000 Dreamlight. Rice Seeds cost 35 Star Coins and take 50 minutes to grow. Furthermore, you can also buy fully-grown rice from Goofy for 92 Star Coins.
How to Get Soya
Soya is available at Goofy's stall in the Sunlit Plateau. You can buy Soya as seeds or fully-grown crops. Soya Seeds are available for 60 Star Coins and take 30 minutes to grow. Fully-grown Soya, on the other hand, costs 104 Star Coins. As you can see, buying seeds is cheaper, but you’ll have to wait for them to grow.
How to Get Seaweed
This vegetable-type ingredient is available in all regions of the Dreamlight Valley. You can use your fishing pole to catch it in open waters without ripples.
After collecting these items, just go to a nearby cooking station and combine them in the pot to make Sesame Balls. Players can sell this five-star appetizer at Goofy’s Stall for 322 Star Coins or eat it to restore 722 energy.
