One of the first things you’ll notice when playing Disney Dreamlight Valley is how tricky storage can be. You are always doing different quests and collecting all sorts of items to save the valley from The Forgetting. From basic things like Stones and Coal to rare fish and gems, players will want to keep everything, but it’s easy to run out of space fast.

Luckily, you can craft storage chests in Disney Dreamlight Valley to keep all your items safe and your backpack clutter-free. But these chests don’t hold much, and if you play often, they can fill up fast. The good news is that the game now allows players to expand their storage chests. Today, we will show how to expand your storage chests and make more room for your items in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Increase Storage of Crafted Chests in Dreamlight Valley

Dreamlight Valley features three types of storage chests. These include:

Small Storage Chest
Medium Storage Chest
Large Storage Chest

The small chest has 16 slots, the medium one has 32 slots, and the large storage chest offers 48 slots. All of these need to be crafted by the player, and as you’d expect, the large chest is the hardest to craft.

If you want to expand the storage of your chests, first make sure you’ve got the latest Wonderland Whimsy update. Once that’s done, hop into the game, click on any chest, and click on the ‘Expand’ option.

Keep in mind that you will need to spend some Dreamlight to get those extra slots.

The amount of Dreamlight you’ll need depends on the chest size. Upgrading a small chest will cost you 1,500 Dreamlight, but if you are going for the large one, you will need to spend 8,500 Dreamlight.

Honestly, with how much Dreamlight these upgrades cost, I’d probably just craft a new chest instead of upgrading the ones I already have. And just to quickly mention, this upgrade only works for storage chests. You won’t be able to increase closet space for now. If you don’t have enough Dreamlight, you can earn it by completing your Dreamlight duties.
