How to Complete The Now and Then in Disney Dreamlight Valley
During The Palace of Time quest, you entered a mysterious rift in Jafar’s magical palace that led you to a strange island. Entering this island will start the Now and Then quest.
Find the Film Projector
After entering the rift, players should explore the colorless world and find Mickey Mouse. During the conversation, you will find out that the island is stuck in time. Mickey will ask you to find the EVE and WALL-E’s film projector, which is lying nearby. Once you find it, give the projector to Mickey.
All Black and White Island Item Locations
Next, Mickey tasks you with finding three junk items to help you escape the Black and White world. Here is what you need to grab:
- Mickey's Hot Dog Roaster
- Rapunzel’s Lantern
- Gaston's Ship
Mickey’s Hot Dog Roaster can be obtained by digging in a spot behind a large rock on the top hill. It’s the same hill where you gave the projector to Mickey. The players will need to use the shovel to get it.
Rapunzel’s Lantern can be picked by breaking a massive rock on the beach. You will need the Royal Pickaxe for this. Finally, Gaston’s ship is inside a chest hidden behind a large rock. First, you’ll need to fish in the bubbles on the beach to get the Chest Key. Then, clear the rock blocking the cave entrance and use the key to unlock the chest to get your hands on the ship.
Return to Jafar's Palace
After gathering all the items, go back to Mickey and give them to him. This will play a cutscene, and you will travel back to Jafar’s Palace of Time in Gaston’s ship. Now, talk to Jafar on the palace throne, trick him into imagining himself as a genie, and lock him in a lamp.
Pick Up Jafar’s Lamp and Spark of Imagination
After trapping Jafar, go back to Mickey. He’ll ask you to grab Jafar’s Lamp and the Spark of Imagination. Before heading out, the protagonist will need to have a quick chat with Merlin.
The wise wizard will advise you that the best thing to do with the Spark is to share it with everyone. So meet Merlin, Mickey, and your Eternity Isle buddies outside the palace to end this quest.
