As the bond between players and Timon grows stronger, the character will reveal more of his worries in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Triggering the Curious About Critters quest will allow Dreamers to go on an adventure with Timon to take many interesting pictures as he's preparing a slideshow.
Dreamers need to unlock a few characters in order to activate Timon’s second Friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Mushu from Mulan’s Realm, for example, is a must as the mighty dragon is required for one of the many photos you're about to take to complete the quest.

Players need to complete three quests in order to unlock both Timon and Pumbaa in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Trigger Curious About Critters Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once Timon reaches Friendship level four, the Curious About Critters quest is triggered. Timon voices out how there are a variety of critters scattered all around the village in Disney Dreamlight Valley and asks for a machine that can record his finds. Speak to both Buzz Lightyear and Scrooge McDuck to find out that an old recorder has fallen into the waters of the Forest of Valor.
Head to the Forest of Valor Biome and look for a sparkling orange/red ripple to fish the Soaked Batteries and Electronic Parts. Next, approach the water near the Frosted Heights Biome to fish out the Rusted Recorder from another orange/red ripple. Assemble the pieces at a Crafting Station, then give the fixed device to Timon.
How To Complete The Curious About Critters Quest In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once Timon has the recorder, he sends players to take pictures of some wild critters:
- An Urban Creature: Squirrel in The Plaza.
- A colorful Reptile: Crocodile in The Glade of Trust.
- A furry Omnivore: Fox in Frosted Heights.
- A dark-colored Critter: Any available black-colored Critter.
- A Talking Dragon: Mushu from Mulan’s Realm.
Hand the pictures to Timon, who reveals that he also needs some terrifying pictures of the insides of vicious creatures' homes. Before wasting time on any of the given locations, since it’s not the real objective, head immediately to the cursed cave on Dazzle Beach where Ursula was once imprisoned to witness a conversation between Scar and the Sea Witch. Talk with Timon and then head to the houses of Mother Gothel, Scar, and Ursula, to find a piece of poetry in each house.
Speak with Timon again, who decides you must go to Vitalys Mines and collect some evidence to show to the Forgotten and warn them. Go to the Mines in Sunlit Plateau and take a picture of Mother Gothel and Scar. Listen to their conversation, then find the Forgotten to show them the picture. Turns out most of the villains have decided to join a Poetry Club and mean no harm to the villagers or the Forgotten.
Now, Dreamers must collect 1,000 Star Coins to buy a projector from Scrooge McDuck. Once you buy it, place it anywhere in the village, then take a picture with the characters invited by Timon. Finally, Scar will have a chat with the meerkat and the Curious About Critters quest is completed.
