To unlock Lady, complete the Critters and Compassion quest in DDV.
Head back to the Lady and the Tramp realm and go to the alley behind Tony's. Speak with Lady who wishes to save the critters but starts doubting herself. A Memory Puzzle will appear nearby where you need to place the pieces in the correct spot to complete the memory.
After talking with Lady again about the memory, go to the Dog Pound to check on the critters. The dog mostly speaks with the bunny to try and figure out what to do.
Seeing as it's impossible without a key, Dreamers take a photo of the locks to create a key using the crafting station.
Head outside and discuss with Lady what materials to use as a base for the key. Players suggest cheese as it can be melted and hardened later on while Lady runs to get some Metal Parts.
Where To Find Cheese In DDV - Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Fabulous Fontina is near the Grill store across the Dog Pound's entrance.
Head to the alley where you first arrive in the realm and pick up the Gorgeous Gorgonzola and Astounding Asiago.
Go to the area behind Tino's entrance that is closer to the table where Lady and Tramp ate spaghetti to get the Perfect Parmesan.
Finally, enter the alley behind Tino's and grab the Massive Mozerella behind the crates near the crafting station.
Combine all the ingredients on the stove to get Magical Melted Cheese.
How To Complete Critters And Compassion Quest In DDV
After speaking with Lady, combine the Melted Cheese with the Metal Parts to get the Cheese key. Go back to the Dog Pound and unlock the critters' cage to free them. As you head inside, approach the dog bed at the end to read a small message, hinting it belonged to the dog who wore the memento collar you got in a previous quest.
Get out with Lady only to find the street covered with spaghetti and meatballs, completely blocking the way. Equip your Snout and follow the scent back to the realm's entrance in the alley, while destroying the obstacles.
Once both you and Lady are out, welcome her into the valley and watch her reunion with Tramp. This completes the Critters and Compassion quest in DDV.
