How to Complete The Alchemical Revolution Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The quest starts when you talk to Jafar about his alchemical experiments in Dreamlight Valley. He reveals that he found a secret recipe for the Gilded Stone, which has the amazing ability to turn refined materials into gold. However, he will need Iron Dust to make it work.
Find Iron Ores and Bring Them to EVE
It turns out EVE can help you make Iron Dust. But the player will need to collect and bring her three Iron Ores for that. You can find these ores by mining gem rocks in these biomes:
- Forest of Valor
- Glade of Trust
- Sunlit Plateau
- Frosted Heights
- Forgotten Lands
After you give her the ores, she’ll use her laser to turn them into dust.
Meet Jafar in his Laboratory and Do the Alchemical Experiment
Next, make your way to Jafar’s Laboratory in his grand palace. After you give him three Alchemical Iron Dusts you received from EVE, he will ask you to add them to the cauldron. This will make Alchemical Gold. But when you give it to Jafar, he’ll tell you it’s not enough to create the Gilded Stone that you both were looking for.
Talk to Villagers and Collect the Required Ingredients
There are three alchemical experts in the Valley who can help you solve this mystery. So leave the palace and meet these villagers:
- Ursula
- Jack Skellington
- Fairy Godmother
Speaking to all three will give you some tips and clues for your alchemical project. These villagers will tell you that you need three Major Essences to create the Famed Gilded Stone. These essences are part of the very heart of the valley and are like the shared feelings of the villagers. And yes, a Major Essence is made from three Minor Essences, so they combine at a 3:1 ratio.
Now, you'll need to collect the resources to make rare Minor Essences. Here’s what you need to find:
- 1 x Ancient Sand-Polished Stone.
- 1 x Mini Holiday Tree
- 1 x Book of Fairy Magic.
Ancient Sand Polished Stone can be found by fishing in the orange bubbles in The Borderlands. To get the Mini Holiday Tree, you will need to plant the Holiday Seeds that Jack Skellington gave you. The last ingredient is the book, which Dreamers can find in the Ancient’s Landing biome. Since it will be flying around, it would be a good idea to glide by getting the well-fed bonus.
With all three Alchemical Ingredients in hand, saviors should head back to Jafar’s Laboratory in his Palace and hand them over to him.

All Essence Combinations (The Alchemical Revolution Quest)
Using the Alchemical Ingredients you provided, Jafar will craft seven different types of Minor Essences. Here is the complete list:
- Essence of Patience
- Essence of Determination
- Essence of Excitement
- Essence of Sincerity
- Essence of Fantasy
- Essence of Hope
- Essence of Desire.
With the right combination of the Minor Essences, Dreamers will now have to create three Major Essences (the Essence of Will, the Essence of Wonder, and the Essence of Wishes.) Turn to the Resource Table to grab all the essences from there. It may take some trial and error to get it right.
To make the Essence of Will, you’ll need to put these three Minor Essences in the alchemical station.
- 1 x Essence of Patience
- 1 x Essence of Desire
- 1 x Essence of Determination
To make the Essence of Wonder, fans will need these Minor Essences:
- 1 x Essence of Excitement
- 1 x Essence of Hope
- 1 x Essence of Sincerity
To make the Essence of Wishes, you’ll need these three Minor Essences:
- Essence of Fantasy
- Essence of Hope
- Essence of Desire
Craft the Gilded Stone
Now that the Major Essences are ready, hand them to Jafar. He will return them to you and ask you to make the Gilded Stone. So go to the table and combine the three Major Essences in the pot to craft the stone.
However, the experiment will go wrong for some reason and you will get a Mysterious Stone instead of The Gilded Stone. So go back to Jafar with the news.
Get Emotive Essences and Show Them to Jafar
It turns out that the Gilded Stone requires two Emotive Essences, which you can get by gifting five villagers their favorite things and completing five Dreamlight Duties. Once done, you'll be able to collect the Essence of Benevolence and the Essence of Wisdom around the Wishing Well in Eternity Isle.
Once found, bring the two essences to Jafar and talk to him one last time to complete the quest.
