To trigger A Creepy Crawly Mystery Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you must achieve Friendship level 10 with Timon and Pumbaa. When the requirements are met, the Quest information will appear in the main menu and players discover that they must catch something crawly and creepy somewhere in the village. The quest does not tell players where the Night Mite is, forcing them to search the entire village.
To find the first Night Mite, head to the right side of The Plaza where Scrooge McDuck Store's originally located. The purple insect is crawling nearby. Speak with Merlin, who asks you to gather the village’s best insect catchers, Timon and Pumbaa, and meet the Wizard at his house. Track them down and go to Merlin's Library to speak with him. He reveals that these Night Mites must be found and removed from the village as they could harm the villagers. Speak with Timon and Pumbaa to end the Quest and trigger Timon’s Friendship Level 9 Quest, The Infestation Part 1.

As both characters are a pair, they cannot function without the other. Therefore, if you wish to reach the maximum level of Friendship with one of them, you automatically must do it with the other as well. The fastest method to earn Friendship points is by having a daily conversation with the characters as well as gifting them their favorite item of the day. Each character has three favorite items that change daily. Another great method is giving them any type of flower or gem. While it doesn’t matter which type of flowers you give, gems need to be Shiny to gain any significant Friendship points.
