Disney Dreamlight Valley is an adventure/life-sim hybrid. While it is similar to other life-sim games like Animal Crossing, Disney Dreamlight Valley has managed to forge an identity for itself beyond just allowing you to hang out with all of your favorite Disney characters. In the pre-expansion story for Disney Dreamlight Valley, you return to the mysterious place known as Dreamlight Valley after having been gone for many years.
Dreamlight Valley is not as you left it, though. A form of dark magic has spread across the valley during an event called The Forgetting. The valley has become a shadow of what it once was, and it is up to you to restore it. While exploring Dreamlight Valley, you will meet and befriend a massive cast of Disney/Pixar characters. In this game, you can fish, cook, grow crops, and make the village of your dreams. There has been a large amount of content added to Disney Dreamlight Valley since it first came out in 2022, and this directory will continue to be updated as more content comes out over the next year.
Updated on March 12, 2025 by Paul Woodward: Disney Dreamlight Valley is constantly being updated with new content. Between new Star Paths and Disney Charcters to befriend, there is always a reason to download the latest patch and continue your adventures in Dreamlight Valley. There is still plenty more content to come based on roadmap for 2025, but until then players can add Sally, Jasmine, and Aladdin to their roster.

Getting Started
Disney Dreamlight Valley is surprisingly complex with all the mechanics and systems that it has. It can be rather overwhelming for new players, especially as some things aren't as well explained as others. This section of the directory will help cover basic mechanics like playing multiplayer, setting up cloud saves, and how to restore Energy.

A Rift in Time Story Quests & Friendship Quests
A Rift in Time is the first paid expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley. Rather than continuing the original story about the Forgetting, A Rift in Time takes place on the long-lost Eternity Isle. Jafar's reckless use of magic has endangered Eternity Isle, and it is up to you to clean up the mess and save the isle from certain destruction as you learn to wield the Royal Hourglass. Along the way, you will meet familiar faces like EVE, Gaston, and Rapunzel. Eternity Isle hides many secrets, and this section of the guide will help you at every step of your magical journey.

The Storybook Vale Story Quests & Friendship Quests
The second expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley takes players to a magical place known as the Storybook Vale. The harmony of this land has been shattered by Maleficent and Hades. This duo of villains once co-existed peacefully as rulers of this mystical land, but eventually, their fighting left Storybook Vale in the sorry state that it is in. It is up to the player to fix this mess and perhaps even get Hades and Maleficent on speaking terms again.

Everything About Crafting, Collectibles, and Materials
Dreamlight Valley might not appear to be the biggest space in a video game, but that doesn't mean there aren't tons of crafting materials to collect. Whether it's through fishing, mining, or gathering, there are plenty of ways to pick up items for crafting purposes.
