Diablo Immortal revealed the largest update for the game so far is in the works and will introduce a wide variety of content and features. Diablo Immortal celebrated its first year in June, and to celebrate, Blizzard is bringing an update that is good news for players.
For those who don't remember, Diablo Immortal is the first Diablo game available for mobile. Although the game is groundbreaking in terms of platforming, Diablo Immortal features a story set between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. The gameplay is also familiar ground, with the same dark atmosphere, classes to choose from, and ancient evils to face. In Diablo Immortal players can face off in PvP, explore dungeons, and do the grind for gear that Diablo players love.
Diablo Immortal announced Destruction's Wake, the game's next major update. Destruction's Wake will launch on June 14 on servers in Asia and Europe, while servers in the Americas will receive the new content on June 15. One of the main new features of the update is the introduction of the new Ancients' Cradle zone, a remote island home to people whose bloodline can be traced back to the creation of Diablo's Sanctuary. Other highlights of the update include extra primary equipment slots, and the ability to equip two sets of weapons simultaneously. All of Diablo Immortal's classes will also get adjustments and an extra skill.
There's a lot to unpack from the Destruction's Wake update, with the full text available on Blizzard's blog. Other points worth mentioning include the new Inferno difficulty, which is unlocked by Paragon Level 800 players or higher by defeating the Phangwrth boss, Warmth-Feaster on Hell Difficulty VIII. After unlocking the new difficulty, Diablo Immortal players can fight six new scary bosses and access new content, including 32 Legendary Items. Blizzard is also promising a new class for the game, although the identity of Diablo Immortal's new class is a mystery.
Diablo Immortal has completed its first year after a launch that turned the game into one of the most controversial storylines of 2022. Blizzard is bringing in so much new content that players dubbed the update "Diablo Immortal 2.0." Another example of the new features is the crossover between Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4, the new entry in the main series. The collaboration brought a themed event that includes the Season 14 pass with new rewards to unlock, such as the Mother's Lament Two-Star Legendary Gem.
Diablo Immortal is now available to play on Mobile and PC.
