The latest Diablo 4 update made a number of additional tweaks and changes that were not included on the public patch notes, though the community has taken note and compiled a full list. For the Diablo franchise, updates are nothing new, though considering this latest entry adopts a live service model, Blizzard has not been shy with making tweaks a fair bit more often. The first batch of changes came during the Diablo 4 beta weekends, surprising many players with the speed of which changes arrived to pain points.

Diablo 4 Update 1.0.3 arrived on June 27 and featured an extensive list of bug fixes related to quests, gameplay, UI and high-end activities like Nightmare Dungeons and Helltide Events. However, for many players, the most intriguing piece to the recent update was the list of buffs made to all five Diablo 4 classes. Blizzard has continued to balance each class since the Diablo 4 launch, but this is the first time that all five classes received buffs across the board including damage boosts to most of the basic skills. However, some tweaks seemingly missed the public release notes, which the player base has taken upon themselves to discover.

As Diablo 4 players have continued to play post-update, a Secret Patch Notes thread has appeared on the game's subReddit. Changes and tweaks that weren't mentioned in the patch notes for Update 1.0.3 have been compiled by Diablo 4 players and so far include things like UI changes to the Stash icon in towns and cities, viability improvements for the Necromancer's corpse explosion effect, as well as a brand new Helltide event involving a tornado.

The update also seems to have corrected a few additional troublesome bugs including the removal of the Solo Nightmare Dungeon reset bug. The Barbarian's Steel Grasp ability has also been fixed so that the effect now properly pull all types of enemies including ranged units. While Blizzard mentioned that Nightmare Dungeons got a big XP boost to help players level, players have calculated that the gain has increased by about 80%. The player friendly change should go a long way to satisfying those who lamented the lack of dedicated XP farming spots for end-game.

While the endgame changes certainly help, players are hoping for additional variety over time. With planned post-launch content on the way, players have been suggesting their own ideas include bringing back Greater Rifts from Diablo 3. However, on Diablo 4 player had an idea for Strongholds, where players band together to clear out randomly infested towns. Developers could even apply variables like enemy types, affixes, objectives, and more to help break up the monotony of doing the same thing numerous times.

Diablo 4 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
