Blizzard's Diablo 4 has just released a minor patch that mainly focuses on dealing with bugs and gameplay issues in the action-RPG. Announced a few hours after the second Diablo 4 Developer Livestream, the small update can now be downloaded and applied by players across multiple platforms where the game is available.News has recently dropped that Diablo 4's Season 1 is happening on July 20. The second Developer Livestream tackled what players can expect for the duration of the event, especially the kind of rewards they will get when they create a new seasonal character or avail of the game's Battle Pass. So, both the fans and the development team have a lot to do before the start of the season. One of which is keeping the game playable and up-to-date, even if the changes are as minor as the ones found in the latest Diablo 4 patch. On Twitter, Blizzard announced that Diablo 4's Patch 1.0.4 is now available across all platforms. Linking to the list of patch notes on the website, most of the fixes center around gameplay bugs, errors that players encounter in quests and dungeons, and issues with the user interface. One of the most important updates included in this patch is that Helltide chests will now drop Unique items. This answers the question of why players who have been farming Helltide events have not been able to get any Unique items to drop, no matter how many Aberrant Cinders they have used to open up the chests found in each session.
Blizzard has also decided to increase the maximum cap for the players' crafting materials bag in this particular patch. Originally, the bag could only hold up to 9,999 of each material, but the update has increased it to 99,999. Players who have encountered the frustrating issue with the Diablo 4 blacksmith because of the crafting materials bag cap will probably find it resolved once they have applied Patch 1.0.4. This also means that fans can also keep grinding and collecting materials without having to worry about reaching the maximum amount anytime soon.
Given how much there is to prepare for before Diablo 4's Season of the Malignant finally starts, it is not surprising for the game's development team to slowly patch up minor problems with small updates like these. Hopefully Patch 1.0.4 will further improve the Diablo 4 experience, and that fans will appreciate all the effort the team's put into the game so far.
