Blizzard has revealed the patch notes for the next Diablo 4 update, which has been scheduled for July 29. Among other changes, the upcoming release promises to fix nearly two dozen bugs affecting various Diablo 4 systems.

Since the start of the month, Blizzard's hit action RPG has received two patches. The first of them was the Diablo 4 July 1 update, which bumped the game's version number up to 2.3.0 and marked the beginning of Season 9, Sins of the Horadrim. Exactly two weeks later, the ARPG received a smaller 2.3.1 patch.

Another minor update has now been confirmed for July 29. Identified by version number 2.3.2 and build number 67340, it is primarily geared toward tackling Diablo 4 bugs, as is typically the case with mid-season patches. The upcoming update addresses a wide variety of problems, ranging from broken boss encounters to progression blockers and missing rewards. Several issues within Season of the Horadrim, including unremovable quest items and socketing errors, will also be dealt with as part of the patch.

Bugs related to Diablo 4 dungeons received significant attention, with fixes targeting the Warmaster spawn in Maugan's Works, the Hoiradric Reward Cache not dropping in some Nightmare scenarios, and the Sunken Library's boss unreliable completion trigger. A number of affix-related issues will also be addressed by the upcoming update. Additionally, the July 29 patch will resolve a niche Echo of Lilith bug that prevented her second phase from triggering if her health dropped too quickly. A known problem with the Butcher getting stuck on Horadric loot chests introduced in Season 9 will be eliminated as well, together with an issue that inhibited players trying to reach the Guardian's Lair in the Pit under specific circumstances.

Blizzard's newly shared patch notes additionally mention performance, stability, UI, and visual improvements, albeit without elaborating on their quantity or specifics. As for the bundle of bug fixes that the developer just outlined, they should improve gameplay flow and deal with some player frustrations that have materialized throughout Diablo 4 Season 9.

No new content will be included in the game's third and final patch for July 2025, which is par for the course for a mid-season update. Blizzard doesn't typically communicate exact update rollout times days in advance, and it didn't make an exception for the July 29 patch, either. However, based on its recent practices, the new fixes will likely arrive between late morning and early afternoon hours Pacific time.
