Blizzard has fully pulled the curtain back on Diablo 4 Season 7, Season of Witchcraft, which is set to start on January 21. Blizzard has supported Diablo 4 since its launch in 2023 with frequent updates, seasonal content, and one major expansion with more on the way for the popular action-RPG.
Diablo 4's seasonal content gives fans of the game good reason to stay engaged between new expansions. Some seasons are certainly more exciting than others, and it seems that Season of Witchcraft is poised to be one of the bigger seasons released for Diablo 4 since launch. That's because Season 6 is wrapping up the game's "Chapter 1" of content, while Season 7 is kicking off "Chapter 2."
Diablo 4 May Need to Come Out Swinging in 2025
Diablo 4 had quite a strong 2024, but the new year brings an opportunity for the game to get ahead of its biggest competition.
Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft starts on Tuesday, January 21 at 10am PST. The new season will see players team with the Witches of Hawezar to track down heads stolen from the Tree of Whispers. The Witches of Hawezar will give players the chance to boost their power by studying witchcraft powers. Players will also be able to find and equip Occult Gems to gain new abilities, including some that are throwbacks to Diablo 3. Players will be able to utilize these new powers in their fights against the mutated Headrotten Bosses that give valuable rewards, including Occult Gems, when defeated.
When is Diablo 4 Season 7?
- Diablo 4 Season 7 starts on Tuesday, January 21 at 10am PST.
Diablo 4 Season 7 will also be introducing some quality-of-life improvements. Notably, the Diablo 4 armory is getting a big upgrade so that players can save and swap between different loadouts. Players can also look forward to new seasonal rewards through fresh Uniques and Legendaries, unlocking the Raven pet by participating in the Season Journey, and by completing the new Battle Pass.
Those that own the Vessel of Hatred expansion will get the most out of the new Diablo 4 season when it starts on January 21, as they will get the chance to snag three new Runes during Season 7. Blizzard has always made it clear that there would be some seasonal content only available to those that own the expansions, and it's possible this content will be more substantial in the future. Regardless, those that want a truly complete Diablo 4 Season 7 experience should make sure that they have the Vessel of Hatred expansion for the game.
Diablo 4 fans can expect more seasonal content to be released for the game throughout 2025, with a new expansion expected to drop this fall. It's anyone's guess as to what the next expansion will entail, but fans should be kept plenty busy while they wait for word on it.
