While the main focus of Diablo 4's fourth season is its massive loot rework, there are still some story bits to be had. The Iron Wolves of Kehjistan have gotten themselves in hot water with the invading demons, and players can lend them a hand should they want to do so.
The Wooden Wolf quest isn't difficult by any stretch of the imagination, but it does have some elements that can be confusing for some players. If you want to experience this part of Diablo 4 Season 4's offerings, then here's a short guide covering the most important parts of the Wooden Wolf quest.
Diablo 4 Players Call for Seneschal Companion Change
Diablo 4 Season 3 introduced players to the Seneschal Companion, and now they are asking for an important change in their faithful ally.
Diablo 4: Wooden Wolf Quest Walkthrough
While Season 4 puts a heavy emphasis on Diablo 4's reworked Helltides, the Wooden Wolf quest is all about finding a missing Iron Wolf mercenary. Soudeh, the group's leader, will ask players to search the plains near Ked Bardu in hopes of finding their missing member. Start this quest by reaching Wolf's Honor rank 1 with the Iron Wolves and speaking with Soudeh.
After conversing with the mercenary leader, head to the objective marker on the northeastern plains of Ked Bardu. What you're looking for here is a wrecked caravan — there are a number of items on it that you must interact with in order to proceed with the quest. These items are:
- Defaced Medallion - on top of the wrecked cart.
- Hand-Carved Toy - near a corpse leaning on the cart.
- Unsent Letter - at the center of the wreckage.
- Iron Wolf Corpse - to the right of the wrecked cart.
After inspecting all these items, a new quest marker will appear to the southeast. Go to the destination to find a Cultist Den. Inside will be a group of enemies and a similar set of items that you need to inspect:
- A Letter Home - on a wooden table to the left of the screen.
- Caravan Route Map - on a table across the one above.
- Cultist's Sketch - on a table at the opposite side of the cave.
- Ritual Blade - on a metal weapon rack next to the table above.
- Iron Wolf Corpse - at the center of the cave, top-right of the ritual circle.
Click on all of these items, and the quest is as good as done. The final step is to return to Soudeh. Tell her what you've found, and you can then proceed to the next part of the Iron Wolf questline. Combat in these quests is fairly light, but you'll still want to bring the best Diablo 4 build you can bring in case a Helltide pops up in your quest's region.
