A new season of Diablo 4 wouldn't be complete without a new set of Uniques for players to build around. Like with past Diablo 4 seasons, Season 10 is set to give each class a new tool in their repertoire in the form of a Unique piece of gear. However, not all of these new Season 10 Uniques are created equal, and some seem more likely to be game-changers than others.

These Uniques may be tweaked from their PTR versions before the Diablo 4 Season 10 patch notes are officially released.

Unique gear will play a more important role in Diablo 4 build crafting than ever in Season 10, thanks to the seasonal Chaos Armor mechanic. With this mechanic, players have far more options to consider when choosing Uniques for their build, since Chaos Armor allows certain Uniques to appear in different gear slots. So, despite some of these new Uniques overlapping with existing class staples, they may find their way onto players' builds in the upcoming season.

Barbarian – Sabre of Tsasgal (Unique One-Handed Weapon)

Diablo 4 Barbarian Concept Art Cropped
  • +50% Damage (Inherent)
  • +107-121 Strength
  • +62.5-85% Physical Damage
  • +2-3 Core Skill Ranks
  • +2-3 Warpath
  • Unique Affix: You gain 3-5%[x] increased damage for each damaging Skill you have equipped, and an additional 6-10%[x] for 15 seconds when each of those Skills is used.

Barbarians in Diablo 4 Season 9 were put in an unfavorable position after the nerf to Overpower Damage, and could really use a new lease on life in Season 10. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the Sabre of Tsasgal will move the needle much for the class.

The bonus ranks to Core Skills and Warpath are nice, but the weapon's Unique affix doesn't provide much worthwhile damage scaling, given that most Barbarian builds in Diablo 4 utilize only a few offensive skills alongside defensive Shout skills, making the 3-5% damage increase negligible. Better Unique One-Handed Weapons for the Barbarian exist, with the Shard of Verathiel and Ramaladni's Magnum Opus being alternatives with far better damage scaling.

Druid – Kilt of Blackwing (Unique Pants)

diablo-4-druid-raven-cantor-cosmetic
  • +636-685 Maximum Life
  • +2-3 Ranks to Ravens
  • +13-17.5% Ravens Cooldown Reduction
  • +16-25% Chance for Ravens to Deal Double Damage
  • Unique Affix: Ravens deal 60-100%[x] increased damage and shapeshifting into a different form or activating a Companion Skill Summons a Raven that attacks nearby enemies. Summoning a Raven has a chance to call forth an Unkindness for 10 seconds, increasing the number of Ravens Summoned to 3 for the duration.

Diablo 4 Druids are getting what is perhaps the most exciting new Unique in Season 10, as the Kilt of Blackwing looks primed to push one build to the top of the meta. The Kilt of Blackwing gives the Druid's Ravens a massive buff, with a heavy focus on increasing ranks of the Raven skill, reducing its cooldown, and offering the chance to deal double damage.

Its Unique affix also buffs the damage Ravens deal across the board and passively creates more opportunities for these companions to be summoned. Given that Kilt of Blackwing is also in the Druid's Chaos Armor pool, players can utilize both it and Storm's Companion to create a devastating Companion Druid build.

Necromancer – Gospel of Devotee (Unique Focus)

Diablo 4 Necromancer Class
  • +80-94 Intelligence
  • +424-457 Maximum Life
  • +4.4-10% Basic Skill Attack Speed
  • +13-17.5% Chance for Basic Skills to Deal Double Damage
  • Unique Affix: Your Basic Skills are empowered. Damaging an enemy with a Basic Skill causes them to take 10-30%[x] increased damage from your other Basic Skills for 10 seconds.
    • Reap attacks 10% faster.
    • Decompose now spawns a Corpse every 0.5 seconds.
    • Hemorrhage triggers an additional burst on the initial target.
    • Bone Splinters pierce through enemies.

While it may not look too exciting at first glance, the Necromancer's new Gospel of Devotee Unique Focus has the potential for some niche utility. It emphasizes powering up the Necromancer's Basic Skills, which normally isn't that helpful given the class's best builds tend to utilize Core and Ultimate Skills at the forefront.

However, when combined with the Necromancer's Grim Reapers Chaos Perk, it may prove to be quite valuable. Necromancers usually benefit more from Two-Handed Weapons than a One-Handed Weapon and a Focus or Shield, but giving Skeletal Warriors the ability to use a more powerful version of the Reap Basic Skill from the perk, along with a 10% faster attack speed and the chance to deal double damage from this Unique, makes this Focus worth considering.

Rogue – Orphan Maker (Unique Two-Handed Crossbow)

Ash_Knight rogue cosmetic diablo 4
  • Inherent: +130% Vulnerable damage
  • +4-6 Ranks to Marksman Skills
  • +2-4 Ranks to Exploit
  • +32-45% Chance for Marksman Skills to Cast Twice
  • +125-170% Vulnerable damage
  • Unique Affix: Basic and Core skills that use this weapon now Reload. Reload Skills gain 250-300% increased damage and every 2nd Reload Skill gains twice this bonus.

The real wildcard of a Unique in Diablo 4 Season 10 is the Orphan Maker, as it comes with the new keyword Reload. Skills with the Reload keyword have a delay before they can be cast again, but their damage and Reload speed benefit from 50% of the player's Attack Speed bonus. As such, it remains to be seen how the trade-off between the increased damage from Reload and its slower cast speed affects its utility, but the Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR points towards Rogues getting the short end of the stick with this Unique. It's possible Blizzard will rework this Unique before the official start of the season, but as it stands, Rogue Builds in Season 10 may want to avoid this Unique.

Sorcerer – Galvanic Azurite (Unique Ring)

A sorcerer using a lightning attack in Diablo 4
A sorcerer using a lightning attack in Diablo 4
  • Inherent: 12.5% Resistance to All Elements
  • Inherent: 5% Resistance to All Elements
  • +5.2-6% Critical Strike Chance
  • +57-75% Lightning damage
  • 8.1-8.8% Cooldown reduction
  • +2-3 Ranks to Elemental Synergies
  • Unique Affix: Lightning damage leaves enemies magnetized for 4 seconds, causing them to emit Crackling Energy, and increase all Lightning damage they take from you by 40-60%[x]. If two magnetized enemies hit each other with Crackling Energy they pull each other together.

The Sorcerer is another class set to be a meta contender in Diablo 4 Season 10, and the Galvanic Azurite Unique Ring could be a key factor in its success. After Hydra Sorcerers took a bit of a hit in the Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR update, Crackling Energy Sorcerers are next in line to pick up the crown, due in part to this new Unique. Increased Elemental Resistance and Lightning Damage help support Lightning Sorcerers overall, but the compounding effect caused by consuming Crackling Energy with the Galvanic Azurite equipped makes a build that leans into Crackling Energy generation ideal for Season 10 Sorcerers.

Spiritborn – Hesha e Kesungi (Unique Gloves)

Diablo 4 Mid-Season Update Supercharges Aberrant Cinder Drops
  • 10.5-15% Attack Speed
  • 46.5-60% Vulnerable Damage
  • 15.5-20% Ultimate Cooldown Reduction
  • 3-5 Gorilla Skill Ranks
  • Unique Affix: The Protector can be invoked at range and pulls inward with its smashes. Enemies in its area take 30-50%[x] increased damage from your Gorilla Skills, doubled while they are Knocked Down or a Boss

Coming off the addition of a meta-defining Unique in Season 9's Balazan's Maxtlatl, the Spiritborn's Season 10 Unique is somewhat underwhelming. The class's Gorilla Skills are largely defense-oriented, and Spiritborn builds that focus on evasion and offense tend to be more effective. Where this Unique may find some success is on builds designed for taking down Diablo 4's Lair Bosses, since they take double damage from Gorilla Skills when affected by The Protector.
