There are a handful of new unique items Diablo 4 adds with the Vessel of Hatred campaign, including options that are uniquely available to the Spiritborn class. Some of these unique are build-defining, and necessary to take some of the best Spiritborn builds to the next level.
Diablo 4: How To Get Rakanoth's Wake Unique
Rakanoth's Wake is one of the new, powerful Unique items for Spiritborn in Vessel of Hatred. See how to get your hands on these boots here.
The Rod of Kepeleke is one of the best new Spiritborn uniques in Diablo 4 because it lets you cast Core Skills for free, with a slight drawback that is overcome by its secondary effect. It's the best unique for several Spiritborn builds, but to get it, you will have to get to max level and start farming one of two possible Rod of Kepeleke sources.

The Rod of Kepeleke is a Unique Diablo 4 Quarterstaff that is only available to the Spiritborn class. When equipped, it will add the Basic Skill tag to your Core Skills, which will now benefit from all effects and affixes that affect Basic Skills. Additionally, all of your Basic Skills (now including Core Skills) have no resource cost, but deal less damage based on their normal Vigor Cost.
This is a bit of a hefty downside for Rod of Kepeleke builds, but the second effect negates it almost completely. This is because if you have Max Vigor when you use a Core Skill, that Core Skill will instead consume all of your Vigor and deal a rolled percentage of extra Crit damage for every Vigor spent.
Diablo 4: How To Unlock Torment 1 Difficulty
Prioritize unlocking Torment 1 difficulty in Diablo 4 to get the best chance at high-tier loot and boost your Gold and XP gains.
The Rod of Kepeleke is an essential part of the Quill Volley Spiritborn build in Diablo 4, as it lets players spam Quill Volley while maintaining nearly 100% Vigor at all times (from other effects) to maximize damage for every cast.
When it comes to Rod of Kepeleke stats and affixes, Attack Speed and Block Chance are guaranteed, but Damage per Hit, and the Crit Damage, Max Vigor, Velocity ranks, and Chance For Core Skills To Hit Twice will be rolled when the item drops. Additionally, the increased Crit Damage when you spend all of your Vigor to boost a Core Skill cast rolls from 1% to 3% per point.
How To Get Rod of Kepeleke in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred
There are two methods to get the Rod of Kepeleke in Diablo 4: by killing Tormented Echo Of Andariel (aka Uber Andariel), or by getting lucky at the Obols vendor.
You must have unlocked and selected Torment 1 difficulty or above for this unique Quarterstaff to drop from these Rod of Kepeleke item sources.
Rod of Kepeleke Drops From Andariel, Maiden of Anguish
To summon the Tormented Echo of Andariel, first obtain 2x Sandscorched Shackles and 2x Pincushioned Dolls. These Boss Summoning items can be harvested from Lord Zir and The Beast In The Ice respectively.
You need 12x Exquisite Blood to summon Lord Zir, and 12x Distilled Fear to summon The Beast In The Ice. Both of these dungeon entrances can be found in the Fractured Peaks.
Once you have obtained at least two of each Andariel summoning material, head to the Hanged Man's Hall in Kehjistan. Enter and progress to the summoning altar to summon and defeat the Tormented Echo of Andariel. Note that defeating this boss only has a chance to drop the Rod of Kepeleke, and there is no guarantee that it will roll Ancestral stats or drop at all. Increase your odds of getting it by bringing along multiples of each summoning material, preferably about 10 of each so you can get five solid Andariel kills in.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred – All Runewords (& What They Do)
Every Runeword in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred requires two Runes to be created: Ritual Runes, or Triggers, and Invocation Runes, or Effects.
Obol Vendors Have A Higher Chance To Drop Uniques
The Purveyor of Curiosities is a vendor that sells a selection of randomized gear in exchange for Murmuring Obols. Marked by a bag with a question mark on your world map, this vendor has an extremely high chance to drop legendary, unique, and even mythic unique items in Season 6.
Slot four of your Smouldering Ashes (earned via the Season Journey) into the Season Bonus that grants a higher chance for the Obol Vendor to reward double items. Get this up to 40%, then farm as many Obols as you can from World Events and The Pit. In Season 6, the fastest way to get Obols is via fast runs of the Pit, so adjust the level to the point that you can clear it in under 5 minutes for optimal pace.
Once you have enough Obols head to the Purveyor of Curiosities and purchase the Quarterstaff option. This will cost 100 Obols, so come prepared with a thousand or so. With the seasonal buff, you should fill up your inventory with a hefty amount of Quarterstaffs, and after enough tries you will likely get the Rod of Kepeleke.
If you get tired of farming Andariel for the drop, farming The Pit for Obols is a solid back-up that can also help you progress your Glyphs and Zakarum reputation if you keep a Seething Opal active.
